These are pretty basic training clickers. But that said, they do exactly what they are supposed to do. I use these to train feral and stray cats to come at meal times, promptly and orderly. It helps with trapping for spay/neuter, vaccination, and return. It also ensures they are there to eat when scheduled and any left over food can be removed so it doesn't become a nuisance. I also give these to other community cat caretakers so they can do the same, so the bulk pack is a great deal. Plus if I lose one or leave it someplace, no worries, I have extra. This little device is plastic, light, simple to use. It generates a really good loud click sound that carries across traffic noise, through stormy weather and above other background noises, to draw the cats from their hiding places around the neighborhood. One cat, who is usually there waiting, wasn't the other morning. I clicked my usual pattern and about 30 seconds later he came running from the other end of the neighborhood. I searched for a while and these were the best value for a highly reviewed product I could find on Amazon. We are the proud new owners of a very smart, albeit ornery little poodle puppy who gets bored easily, especially if we don't train him often. He will seriously walk in front of me in the evenings, sit, and wait patiently until I start our training session, at which time he gets very very excited. If I make him wait too long, he begins whining and performing his "tricks" whether I ask him to or not. I was looking at more professional ways of training a dog and clicker training has many positives and was suggested by our local highly praised dog whisperer. We started simple with the clicker, in getting him comfortable in his crate, and he picked up on clicker sound = reward very quickly. We'd been training him previously to enjoy his crate by throwing treats in there paired with the word, "Crate", leaving the door open so it doesn't feel like a prison and he could come and go as he pleased, feeding him in there, leaving it at eye level at bedtime, never using it as a punishment, etc. It was a rocky start, especially because we ended up with him very early, at only 7 weeks of age (long story), but he was starting to come around. Pairing this positive association with the clicker, however, seemed to really make more of an impact. He finally will go in on his own when I tell him "Crate" or "Go to 'Bed'", with zero complaints. Of course, he still wakes us pretty early when he's bored of his crate, but that's something we'll work on another day. We've incorporated it with other basic training commands too and it seems to get the point across quicker than using a treat paired with a command alone. He now knows the clicker sound is great, and will relish in even non-food rewards like praise and affection when the clicker is involved. Purchased these to train our new puppy. She recognizes the sound instantly, and associates it with a treat, or good behavior as intended. The clickers all sound the same to my hearing, and all function well. We strapped one to the leash so it always with us for potty rewards, and everyone in our family has their own color. The wrist straps are great for hanging these up out of the way, or just throwing on your wrist so it's always there. They do feel a bit flimsy, and I'm not sure they would survive being stepped on, but so far they have survived bumps and drops well. Happy overall, and may pick up more in the future to keep in the vehicles and such. Read more

These are inexpensive and they work. If you are clicker training 1 or more pets, you need to have a clicker handy at all times so you can "catch" and click positive behaviors. We have these on hooks all over the house to make it easy to click and reward. When doing a clicker training session with a pet, the wrist band is super helpful: easier to click and give a treat quickly without fumbling or dropping anything! Read more
