We love this ice cream maker. We've made banana, chocolate, vanilla and vanilla + cherry ice cream. Each batch came out perfectly. It's a bit on the soft side at first, kind of like a Wendy's Frosty, but after an hour or so, it hardens up. It really only takes an hour to make and is very easy to clean. The spatula that is included is perfect. There are 2 of us in our family and this makes the perfect amount especially since I love me some ice cream. I will say the quality of the machine is top notch. It came to us with a fair-sized dent in it but it works perfectly. I highly recommend this machine. Read more

Secure paddle properly to make ice cream!

Initally, I didn't have the knowledge to properly make the ice cream due to not understanding how the bucket and paddle went into the machine correctly. It has to be placed correctly to allow the paddle to lock in properly to move the frozen mixture without stopping constantly. Once I found this out, I had success in making the ice cream. Now, I love it! No more ice and rock salt or frozen bowl in the freezer method. Also, the Canadian recipes call for ingredients that aren't available here in the USA unless you buy from unique stores online to find them. I prefer a basic recipe that uses half and half, milk, sugar and vanilla with adding fruit and/or nuts. Enjoy! Read more
