I am crazy in love with this blanket! Its so soft and sumptuous to curl up with. I was apprehensive after reading a few reviews that it becomes ruined after the first wash, but every blanket I researched (and I looked at a LOT!) had reviews that said that as well. I decided to splurge and take a chance on this one. It comes compressed in a box & fluffs back up after about an hour or so. The first thing I did was to wash it. I followed the directions exactly and it came out beautifully. I was so happy and relieved. There was no way it was fitting back in the box to return it! After about the fourth wash, it did come apart at the seam about six inches but it was easy enough for me, a non sewer, to repair. And because of the fluff, you can't tell that my stitches are uneven. The only thing I was disappointed in is that the front and back are not sewn together, but I think if they were, it wouldn't feel as light as it is-for a heavier blanket. It keeps me warm without overheating and looks great on the back of my couch when im not using it. I would solidly rate this as a 4.5/5 but I decided to round up rather than down for this review because how many purchases do you still love after a year has passed? In my experience, sadly not many. Easily the favorite blanket of everyone. Perfect thickness where it’s heavy but not too thick where you sweat under it and can’t use it. This blanket is THE BEST!! So extremely soft and cozy. It's the perfect thickness and weightiness. Not thin, but not overly heavy. I bought the twin bed size and I use it as a large throw. This blanket is WAY better quality & still less expensive than the ones in stores. I got this as a humorous gift for my adult daughter who loves Mexican food :-) I have seen similar blankets at local big-retail stores, all of which were thin and cheap fabric. Soft and luxurious. The softest material I’ve ever touched and doesn’t make me itch. Don’t recommend putting in the dryer tho. It doesn’t wash or dry well. Air dry only!
