Comfortable, durable, and everything you would expect from this brand. The material is thick enough to keep the mosquitos off you, and I would know since they were vicious this hunting season. I prefer to buy 5.11 Stryke pants. I’m finding I can get 3-4 years out of them before they start getting holes in the crotch area. However, the cost had me looking at other alternatives. I purchased CQB’s Raider Mag Pants first. I liked them outside of the crotch being a little big. I decided to give these a go since these are regular fit vs. relaxed. My first impression was the material felt lighter/thinner than the Raider and Stryke pants. Softer feel than the Raiders. Crotch was better fitting on me, not too baggy but not tight at all. I still prefer the pockets on the Stryke pants. The pockets are going to take some time getting used to. For both the Stryke and Raider pants, I usually put my pocket knife in a front pocket slit on the right side. No pocket slit on these pants on the right side, so my knife is on the right side. My phone fits in a convenient slit on the left side rather than in my left hand pocket. My wallet usually goes on my right Velcro thigh pocket for both of my other pants. These pants do not have a secured pocket on the right side only on the left. That zippered pocket now has my wallet. The thing about that pocket, it is pocketed toward the rear of the pants. I guess because it is very close to the knee joint. I thought I would have an issue with it when seated but it turns out it is fine. The other little pocket slits on the right side, I haven’t had the need to use and may not ever since they really don’t have any way to secure items stored there. Granted I’m not a warfighter and thus not using the pants to store ammo magazines. The length and waist are fine. Plenty of space for my thick leg through the rest of the pants. Read more
