solves noisy washing machine

We purchased a new top loading washing machine a little over a year ago. Recently, it started to make a rather noisy and annoying shrieking/squeaking sounds, when in the spin cycle. Especially at high speeds. So I got a can of this stuff. I tilted the machine up so I could access the bottom part of it. I removed the bottom cover to reveal to location of the motor and belt drive to the drum. I gave the entire belt a good spray down with this stuff, then put the bottom cover back on. Then ran a few more loads through the washer. The noise went away. Conclusion, if you have a washing machine that is making that annoying screeching sound when spinning fast, and it it working fine otherwise, this spray may be your answer. Read more

Excellent product, but overpriced.

This spray is like magic on glazed belts, stops them from chirping in a hurry. If you buy this from your local auto parts store, it will typically cost half as much. Read more

It doesn't work, and then it does.

I recommend following the directions, but with a slight modification. When you first spray this on the belt (with the engine running), it will cause the belt to have a loud screeching/squeaking noise, which will be way worse than how it was before. I sprayed it on sparingly with the engine running until I felt the belt had a very light coating and the squeaking disappeared. After a day or so the squeaking would resume, and I'd do that process again. This continued for several times, until one day it just stopped squeaking. So I think the key is that it needs to be applied sparingly, but several times, and allowed to soak in. After a sufficient amount has soaked in, it seems to work. It kept me from having to buy a new belt, as my current one is in great shape but just squeaks. It doesn't last forever, though. I seem to recall it lasts about six or eight months, and then you have to spray it down again. It doesn't turn an old belt into a new belt, but it turns an old, dry, squeaky belt into an old, conditioned, quiet belt. Read more

Temporary Fix at Best

This product does help at first, but only for a short time. After applying it, the belt squeal went away for a few days, but then it came back and was actually worse than before. It might be useful as a temporary fix, but it’s definitely not a long-term solution if you’re dealing with belt noise. If the belt or pulley needs attention, this won’t replace proper maintenance or replacement. Bottom line: works briefly, but the noise comes back—good for short-term use only. Read more

Best belt conditioner made.

Great, fast, maintenance for serpentine after every oil change. Keep your belt(s) maintained just as your fluids for lifetime use. Would recommend. Read more

Do not recommend, made my belt fly off.

I personally do not recommend this product. I had a slight squeak from the belt in my 2012 Ford expedition. It wasn't effecting the vehicle at all and it ran fine, it just squeaked. I sprayed a little amount of this product on the belt and the belt got a little louder. About 5 minutes later, I decided to run the vehicle down the road and the belt went flying off. I reput the belt back on and it shot it off again. So I ended having to go buy a brand new belt. If I just stop being cheap and replaced the belt, I wouldn't of wasted money on this junk product! Update: 2-21-2026, a buddy of mine had a squeaky belt and asked to use this product and I strongly discouraged it, but he insisted on trying it on his vehicle. After he sprayed it on, the belt squeaked 100x louder. For 2 days it sounds horrible and still does. God awful squealing sound. Read more
