This is an unexpected scent in the best way, especially considering its name and description. ​First off, this is a fancy-smelling scent. It’s deep, complex, and nuanced, and thankfully it isn't the kind of spice you’d expect—it’s not a cinnamon-type baking spice. It is more of a deep, exotic spice that includes a really neat aspect of freshness. ​I’d say it’s certainly a more mature scent, though it’s definitely not "grandpa." I don’t know if it would necessarily appeal to a teenager, but I also don’t think it’s supposed to. That being said, if a 20-year-old wanted to wear it, they could, as it has a versatile sort of wearability. Despite being spicy, it still has a level of freshness that makes it entirely appropriate for the office; while appropriately strong, it’s certainly not overbearing. I would consider it more of a daytime cologne despite the spice and vanilla mix, which is typically a more night-oriented fragrance combination. There is just something unique about this one; it has a brightness that shows it was well-blended. ​My only criticism would be the size. While I still think it’s a decent value—because boutique-level scents at this quality are usually five times as expensive—the small size of these travel sprays always gets me. Taking that into consideration, I think that's true of many travel-sized fragrances, and I certainly don't blame Cremo exclusively. ​This is a unique scent that's worth far more than its price, and it was clearly created by very intelligent noses. If you want this fragrance to go "beast mode," I would suggest buying the full bottle and using this travel bottle for touch-ups, perhaps while also including some of the matching body care. I absolutely love this stuff! Not being a cologne guy probably makes me more picky than most when it comes to how different colognes smell. So, I was skeptical about this stuff until I smelled it. It really does smell like a blend of rich vanilla pipe tobacco, but also a hint of something lighter. I'm guessing that's the "spice" part of the name. I can't pin down what the lighter spice reminds me of, but it does contrast well with the richer vanilla tobacco scent. Unlike most colognes I've tried, the other thing that stood out what how long it lasted. I can put this on in the morning, and still catch whiffs of it at 3pm, so it lasts a good long time. That being said, it isn't overpowering or strong. Most times when a scent lasts this long throughout the day, it's because it's overpowering and strong at first. This stays nice and even throughout the day. I've had a number of people compliment me on it over the 3 days I've been wearing it. Bottle is design to be discreet and is about the thickness of the thick pen, and as such, fits nicely in the pen slot of my bag I take with me almost everywhere. The scent is equally appropriate for a nice night out as it would be at work, so there are a good number of occasions where it would be suitable to wear this.
