My Alienware x15 laptop had a 512GB internal drive, ordered to keep the costs down. Unfortunately, with 4-5 good games installed, it is maxed out. Realizing it had a second SSD slot, I decided to add a second drive. Shopping around, I decided on the Crucial P310 2TB 2280 PCIe Gen4 3D NAND NVMe M.2 SSD. Crucial has been around a long time, they have a good reputation, and the $140 price tag was great for 2TB. But the joke was on me. Dell got cheap when they built my laptop, and installed two 256GB SSD's instead of a single 512GB. While technically I got what I paid for (512GB), they used up both drive slots, leaving no room for expansion. The dirty buggers. So after cursing Michael Dell and his perfect hairline, I said the heck with it, and decided to replace the small factory drives with the Crucial. But I didn't want to have to download a Windows boot disk and reinstall everything from the ground up. Luckily, EaseUS Disk Copy Pro software has been around for decades. First I had to connect the new drive. So I bought a Sabrent USB 3.2 Type-C Tool-Free Enclosure and installed the Cruicial drive in it. Then I installed EaseUS Disk Copy and followed the simple wizard to do a sector-by-sector copy on the laptop's drive to the USB external drive. It is so easy you almost feel guilty about it. In less than 30 minutes, I had the new Crucial drive installed in the enclosure, formatted, and had copied everything to it. I turned everything off, moved the Crucial to one of the available slots on the laptop, and it booted perfectly the first time. Like nothing had happened, except that I quadrupled my storage space. The new Crucial drive is responsive, and has lightning-fast transfer speeds. It was easy to install, so much that I regret not doing this a lot sooner. I have faith in the Crucial brand, as I think they have proven themselves over many years to have high quality products. I would definitely buy this again (and am already considering getting a second one for that other drive slot). Read more

Crucial P310 4TB Caught this at a sale price and glad I did. Added 4x the space of the stock SSD that came with my device and significantly faster as well. (See pics of read/write tests.) Put it in the second NVMe M.2 slot of my Mini-PC: Beelink SEi14, Core Ultra 5 125H, 32GB DDR5 RAM, 1TB Crucial P3 Plus SSD Install was easy. The SSD appears very well constructed with a highly finished appearance. The SSD fit exactly as expected. No heat issues: I don't notice any increase in temps. It helps that the SEi14 includes a heatsink that covers both SSD slots, as well as a very efficient vapor chamber. YMMV. I've been running all my Steam games off this drive for a couple of weeks now. Games load faster. Creating game setups in Civilization VI initialize noticeably faster than when running from the stock P3+. Lots of storage now for media files, photos, creativity projects, etc. Everything is running smoothly and reliably. Great "bang-for-the-buck" product from a trusted brand. Read more

I got 1 TB version of P310 for 79.99$ on sale with free delivery without prime. Very happy to buy this high-quality SSD for real value one last time. It's 106$ on crucial website so I did it on time. Memory market and industry in deep AI boom crisis and deficit will be here at least for 1 whole year at least people and will end like GPU scam in 2020-2022 due to crypto mining. Installed myself. Running it on win 11 last updated version. Working super well. Performance? I like crucial as a brand and it's first time I bought their product for myself and my own build. It's second drive in my PC for games and all other stuff. Tested it only once using CrystalMark. 6954 (MB/s) on read and 6188 on write which is pretty solid and really nice speed. Transferred some data 56gb from HDD (WD blue) to P310 in 6 minutes. Yeah if you can buy one this for less money dont think just buy. Read more

I've been using this Crucial P310 2TB SSD for 4 months now in my small form factor PC build and it's been fantastic. Installation was simple and straightforward - no issues at all. The performance is outstanding for both gaming and everyday use. Boot times are superfast, and game loading speeds have been dramatically improved compared to my previous storage. I frequently stream games to my big screen TV using Sunshine and Moonlight, and I've never experienced any stuttering or performance problems - the drive keeps up perfectly with the demands of real-time game streaming. One thing I really appreciate is how well it works with my 2.5Gb network for large file transfers - the speeds are excellent and really take advantage of the faster connection. The PCIe Gen4 performance definitely shows. After 4 months of heavy use, I'm extremely satisfied. Great value for the money and highly recommend for anyone looking for a high-performance NVMe drive, especially for gaming and SFF builds. Read more
