I saw this recommended on a how-to-pack-for-a-cruise website, and it is EXACTLY what I wanted. It's roomy enough for a beach towel, plenty of suntan lotion, and other necessities. Yet it rolls up into a tiny bundle that secures with an attached strap with velcro. (With velcro, I don't have to wrestle with an elastic band, and since the strap is attached, it won't wander off and get lost.) Purchased this for an upcoming cruise. It is perfect. It folds up so compactly that it will take up virtually no room in the luggage and yet when it is open it is a very good size easily holding everything you need for the beach or pool side. So the same vlogger I trusted for buying things for my cruise from Amazon's Cruise On worked out great, and this "worked" but not what I expected. It IS sturdy, it does fold flat so takes up little room in a suitcase. I had beach bags to take but they don't fold up all that well for flying, so I bought this. When I pulled it out before our excursion, my grown daughter asked me "what is THAT?" Yeah I felt that way too when I received it from Amazon. Everything falls to the bottom, no little hidden pockets anywhere and boy does it get heavy if you put much in it. All that I could deal with except it was so PLAIN and UGLY. I have really cute beach bags but I was in a hurry and simply didn't read the description close enough. It does work, it does fold flat and it does hold a lot. Convenient and compact to pack to squeeze into luggage or purse; will do the job. Bag is spacious for beach essentials and very lightweight. However, bag I received has a defect on the handle, a big white paint stain that seems to be leftover scrap from the white “cruise on” label printed onto the bag. Will keep, since I don’t have time to exchange, as trip is in a couple of days. UPDATE: Seller reached out and offered a full refund for the defective tote. I am rating this one star because it did not last more than 2-3 uses during my cruise. It was a recommendation fro the cruise blogs as a great bag to take on excursions. I packed it for the beach with towels and change of clothes. The material is not sturdy to hold much weight (i.e. wet towels). The handles ripped as you can see from the pictures. Read more
