I use smart bulbs and had a set of 4 candelabra (E12) base bulbs I’ve been struggling with as they send light primarily up as the bottom 1/2 is solid plastic to hold the electronics. I’ve had some great light fixtures, but illumination has always been less than optimal. This fixture solves that problem by having the bulbs facing down instead. It also has the benefit of a curtain of prisms surrounding the bulbs to further scatter the light. Installation was straightforward. To need to use the included mount or be prepared to drill anchors into your ceiling. I encourage you to use the mount. It has a bar tack welded to a universal round mount to allow for the additional width of the fixture base. This makes getting the attachment screws through the holes in the crown very easy. With the larger fixture, I anticipated difficulty holding it in place and getting the wiring connected properly. It was truly not an issue as if you follow instructions, the heavy part isn’t attached until after you mount the frame. The prisms are actually glass! I’ve had a few lamps that didn’t make it to my ceiling because the “glass” was really plastic shapes. Not so with this one. The glass prisms grab the light, spread it out, and shine. Now, you need to do a bit of work before you start hanging them in the holes on the stringers. They are put together with what amount to long staples bent over on themselves. Not all were bent in an aesthetically pleasing manner, so get them looking right before you hang them. The staple at the top needs to be bent to get it through the holes easily, then bent down to secure it. I do think these would look better with some monofilament between the prisms rather than a metal staple, and I may take on that project at some point. But it looks good. My dining area is maybe 12x12 in a shotgun style house (so one side is also the hallway between rooms), and the ceiling is not terribly high. Larger fixtures can look out of place, but this one fits the space quite well. Read more
I have an exposed bulb in my foyer, but nothing around it - just a bulb. There is SO much potential, so my dad being a retired carpenter, went up there and did the things. My dad said this was easy to install even for his standards given the limited equipment I had in place before this. The triangle highlights are ACTUALLY CRYSTAL!!! You can say glass, it just looks great. This has a sturdy metal frame, and my dad said to use the hardware that was included with this and you will be fine. This does have the E12 base, so I had to get some new bulbs that fit the base - no bigs considering the look I now have in my entryway! This is HIGH QUALITY!!! This is suitable for smaller areas, so nothing overly large or you will need more than one of these in the room. This is meant to be hardwired in so make sure you have the wiring already in place. SUPER happy with this! Read more
Pictures don't do this light justice. It's absolutely stunning in real life. I'm using cool light bulbs but a warmer bulb will change the whole look. Installation was as expected and easy. Putting all the crystals together and hanging from the base took more time then the wiring part did. I can't begin to review how pretty this thing is. I originally ordered this for a different location in my house, but it was too pretty to waste in a location that people wouldn't see so I put it by the side door. It profile it short enough that the door opening and closing has no effect on the light. The Crystals are of a higher quality because they reflect the sun's rays like Little prisms and leave rainbows all over the room. I love it! Read more

It looked prettier online than it did in person. The light itself is very sturdy and pricy looking. It was easy to install for my husband, but the look of it wasn't that I had in mind. I was hoping for a contemporary modern look and I was hoping with the gold accents it would give that little extra I was hoping for. At night with the lights on, it's hard to see the gold. We put it in the upstairs hallway and it just didn't look right. It just didn't work with my home and the style we were hoping for. Try and view it in AR prior to purchase to see how you like it on ceiling and how it matches with your house aesthetics. Read more
I hoped this would be more attractive than it is. It's ok but, but there are no sides to it. So, it is entirely open with a stark black center. I'm a little unsure about it, but my husband says it looks unfinished. On the bright side, there is minimal involved to clean or dust. Read more
