My first ice cream maker. It's small, makes less than a pint. Which is great for testing a lot of different recipes and flavors. People need to know that your mix needs to be very cold, It's best to put it in the freezer for a half hour after an overnight in the fridge before churning. Also, I found that sticking the whole thing in the fridge while churning is helpful if you have a hot kitchen (extension cord). I've had no problem pouring my cold mix into the frozen tub and then sticking the top on quickly. Also, after 25 minutes, your ice cream won't be scoopable, more like a looser soft serve. It needs to go in the freezer for a couple hours first. It's a cheap item, don't expect a professional gelato machine! I've been very happy playing around with it. Read more

Quit after the first use. Used it once, with so-so results (very icy, not creamy). The second time, it simply quit, and that was the end of it. Read more

Excellent value! I especially like that I cannot make more than one batch within 24 hours, so I'm never tempted with extra servings of ice cream being available. We're meat-based, low carb eaters, with limited dairy, so we don't use it more than 2 or 3 times/month. I just use heavy whipping cream, stevia, vanilla, lemon juice, salt and sometimes an egg. Sometimes a couple of chopped frozen cherries and a little 100% cocoa baking bar slivers are added for a cherry cordial treat. Delicious! It could be 4 small servings, but we usually just serve it in 2 big bowls. And sometimes make a low carb chocolate hard shell to drizzle over the top. Yum I do recommend this product to friends, but am only giving it 4 stars because sometimes the bottom freezes solid shortly after it begins churning, and when that happens the lid pops off and it's a horrible mess, and we end up with a dirty countertop and milkshakes instead of ice cream. It doesn't happen very often and I haven't yet isolated the variable that causes this. Read more

This ice cream maker works great, makes ice cream in about 20 minutes but the portion is a bit small. If its for one person, then I think the portion would be just fine but you may have to make several batches if for more than one. I used this often when we first got it and it made really good tasting ice cream, much better than store bought, since I knew what the ingredients were and there were only a couple. As long as any toppings you want to add are broken into small pieces, they will mix in just fine. I keep my base in the freezer for a quick go to when I want something cold and refreshing. Read more

The size is wanted I wanted: compact and doesn't use up a lot of counterspace However, the plastic 'stir' stick doesn't stay on, once I tried to lock the lid it would fall off. Had to return it. Read more

I LOVE THIS THING! I work at a high school and I brought it in to make ice cream with my students. It is so easy to use, it makes the perfect amount of ice cream, you clean it the way you would clean any other bowl so it's super easy and the ice cream tastes amazing - no freezer burn! The size of the bowl itself is so awesome although it is a bit annoying to carry my stand mixer into work. Read more
