Intelligent use of space in this bag. I'm constantly carry my tools between jobs of various natures, so I need to keep a decent number of tools to tackle anything that comes up. My favorite feature (and the primary reason I purchased this bag) is the front zipper area that has tiered pockets for pliers, drivers, wrenches, etc, so you can access common tools with ease. Most other bags I've had or seen with tool pockets just have them around in the center chamber, and that is difficult to access and it doesn't accommodate anything longer than a pair of needle nose pliers... with this bag you can even keep a pair of channel locks upright in that front compartment. The design being like this mitigates the worst aspect of most tool bags, which is all your stuff ends up tossed into the middle chamber and impossible to find efficiently. Now I just have a drill and hammer in the middle chamber, and some screw/bit organizer boxes, and then plenty of room for random odds and ends that specific jobs require. At first I left the shoulder strap off because I assumed it would just be uncomfortable, but it's actually a great strap and I always use it now, freeing my hands up to carry other materials etc. I love the minimal size too... in order to carry all the tools I'm currently carrying in this bag, in the past I've needed a bag that was 50% larger. Where do I begin? This is the best tool bag that I have ever owned. It is extremely well built and I love all the pockets and ways that I can organize my stuff. Also, the price is very reasonable for what you get. I bought this for work because the bag they gave me basically had one big opening for everything and about 3 pockets. I used to have to fish for the tools I need. Not anymore, I have all of my tools organized so finding what I need is a breeze. The large pocket is nice and deep and allows me to put my drill, a multi-meter kit and an entire socket wrench kit into it with space left over. The front zipper pocket is great and I have all of my tools organized very nicely. The handles are really tough and I can tell that the stitching will not be giving out anytime soon. The over the shoulder strap is very comfy and makes carrying this, when my hands are full, super easy. It has so many outside pockets, I love it. I almost went for the larger model and I am glad that I didn't, this one has more than enough space. Before you use it, I highly recommend that you get a spray can of some water repellent for boots/shoes and spray this thing down good. Great bag. I am working a job that requires me to be fairly mobile on the jobsite from day to day so I bought this bag since it is smaller than my normal open top bag. It would be a plus if they made this bag so that it had both sides with a zippered covered pouch area as shown in the pictures, but the opposite side only has three pockets about 4"x4". I knew this ahead of time just pointing out what would make it a better product. The 1539 has two zippered sides but is too large for my needs. I put my carry my typical go to tools on me and my secondary tools in the outside zippered area. Main section of the bag is nice and large. Drop in a hammer, square, and 4 klein zippered pouches. Well made with nice zippers. Only have had it a week, but like most tradesman who are always seeking the best bag this one is very hard to beat for the price. Compares to a Veto LC dimensionally but does not limit you to pockets that are too small and has a bulk storage area also is half the weight. Read more

I replaced the CLC 1539 I bought with this bag, That bag was just too big for what I do so I begrudgingly returned it after this one arrived. This is a great bag though. It's loads a lot of stuff, is built really well, loaded up it hangs off the shoulder and carries well. The only thing about this bag are the pockets inside the main compartment....there are none and there needs to be some..... Add several internal pockets so everything isn't just piled in the bag, charge more money and please allow me to throw my money at you Even so it's still a great bag for what I do and this price is just fantastic for what you get. I am HVAC Tech turned facilities maintenance technician. I used this bag for service and install of HVAC equipment and residential home repair. It has been used and abused and is still holding up well. The zipper is heavy duty but can tend to skip a link or snag occasionally. The handles are sturdy and will hold a lot of weight. The shoulder strap is not that great however. In my option the bag is better than my old Veto Pro-pack Tech-LC. It is lighter and I love the design of having a large middle pocketbook while still having one side pocket for hand tools that zip. All in all a great bag! Read more
