I purchased a set of these knives over 20 years ago. They keep their edges beautifully and a simple sharpening with the Cutco sharpener (hand held, pull through) restores sharpness when needed. You can send any of the knives to Cutco for free sharpening (including serrated), but I have not yet had the need to do that. In addition, I had a the tip of a paring knife break off and Cutco replaced it. Even more amazing was when I accidentally left the spatula in a pan where I have forgotten to turn the heat off. Thankfully I was around to catch my misstep, but the spatula handle was now in two pieces. Cutco replaced the spatula without question.
