BEAUTIFUL! No scratches on mine, nice weight (not too light not too heavy) and sounds so dreamy, light, airy which is perfect for playing to my toddlers before nap and bed time. Just so you know the sound difference in this one, I have a wooden one with holes and that sounds bold, loud, sharp which I love for different reasons. I use this one to play around with my own preference in tuning (so I experiment and tune it by ear based on what sounds good to me) and yeah, it’s great. The media could not be loaded. So pretty!! It’s even more beautiful in person. It arrived quickly and well packaged. The key on the far right was dead when I first tried the sounds of the keys. I used the included tuning hammer and lightly adjusted it until it was fixed. For anyone that receives one of these with any dead keys, try using the tuning hammer before giving up and returning it. It’s very possible that it was knocked out of tune during transit. It’s not too heavy to hold while playing and the sound is magical. I’m very pleased with this kalimba. It is my first. This is an adorable kalimba that sounds wonderful. However, the higher notes may have dead tines that do not resonate. I had to get a replacement and the replacement only sounds slightly better (also a bit strange that the replacement had the numbers printed in a different font but this is a non issue). This is an excellent beginner kalimba overall. Read more
I purchased this acrylic kalimba which arrived in about 2 days. I have a wood kalimba and wanted to see the difference between them. I chose the heart shaped with rainbow like coloring throughout. Very nice looking instrument with a higher pitched sound . The acrylic material is definitely heavier than the wood. The price is very affordable . It is s quality made kalimba. The media could not be loaded. I figured out two songs on my own but I played music a lot when I was younger. They do provide two songs for you. One has a mistake but you’ll figure it out. Overall, fun to play. I’m bummed it’s scratched but I bought this on a whim. It was affordable and does what I wanted it to. Helps me relax. 😊 I wanted another rainbow acrylic one but it was sold out. I actually love this one much more. The rainbow sparkly stickers within the acrylic are beautiful. Read more
