Nice soft and thick material so my dog does not slip on the waterproof seat cover on roadtrips. Wide enough to partially cover the bags and coolers we have behind our seats for use during the roadtrip. It did not move around either. This is really a nice car mat!!! I had purchased a car rear seat cover gor my dog. It has a hard bottom, which gives my dog more vroom than the hammock type...BUT...it was way too hard.
