I purchased three of these sleeping pads for a family camping trip with our son’s Cub Scout troop. As well as 3 sleeping cots that my husband picked out. Initially, my husband was skeptical, thinking the pads might be too warm since they retain heat. However, when the temperature dropped to the 30s that night, we realized just how necessary they were! The Setup • Husband’s Choice: My husband picked out a cot for the 3 of us, but it came with a flimsy sleeping pad. It was essentially like sleeping on a very flat pillow—hardly comfortable. • My Choice: I chose a more substantial sleeping pad, and when I tested it beforehand, I found it to be incredibly comfortable. • Both Used Together: We ended up using both the cots and the sleeping pads. Our campsite was on a wooden platform, so we weren’t sleeping directly on the cold ground, but paired with the cots, the pads definitely kept us warm. I’m not sure how warm they would have been on the ground alone, but I think they’d be fine for summer or spring camping when the ground isn’t as cold. The Debate Before the trip, my husband insisted that I return the sleeping pads I bought for us. He thought the flat, flimsy pads that came with the cots would be sufficient. He was also concerned about the space the new pads would take up in the car. However, I assured him that if we left the pads in their packaging, space wouldn’t be an issue. After a bit of back-and-forth, we decided to keep the new pads and test them out. Trip Logistics We ended up taking two cars, as we needed to bring a large cooler with dinner and breakfast for the entire scout troop. The sleeping pads are quite bulky even when rolled up. But I find the bulkiness necessary for comfortability. Results • Comfort: This was, by far, the most comfortable camping sleep experience I’ve ever had. I’ve slept directly on the ground with a sleeping bag, tried air mattresses, and used various other setups—but nothing compares to how well I slept on these pads. • Warmth: The pads provide great warmth, making them ideal for fall or winter camping. We were especially grateful for the extra insulation with the combination of the cots and pads.(obviously still pack appropriate sleeping bags and thermal Clothing etc). • Durability: They return to their original shape after each use, which is a great sign of durability. • Packability: While the pads do take up some space, we believe that using a vacuum seal bag with a small pump would make them easier to pack. We plan to buy a vacuum seal and pump to store the pads more efficiently for future trips. Conclusion These sleeping pads were a game-changer for our camping trip. They provided superior comfort and warmth, and despite my husband’s initial hesitation, we both ended up really appreciating their quality. We’ll definitely be using these for future camping trips, and I’d recommend them for anyone camping in cooler weather or on wooden platforms. For summer or spring camping, they should also work perfectly fine on the ground! Read more
Price was good and was able to grab this at 20% off which was nice. I found it super comfortable. It is pretty firm (something to be aware of) but not so much that it makes it uncomfortable in the slightest. It stays in place and won’t slide around all night. I’m a fairly big dude and I found the size to be adequate. If you toss and turn in your sleep it may not be what you are looking for. It’s about as wide as a standard couch so if you can sleep on a couch this will do you just fine. Rolls up and had straps to hold it for easy storage and transport. I can’t really find anything to complain about this product. Good buy. Read more
I never knew camping could be this comfortable until I tried this memory foam camping mattress. It completely transformed my outdoor sleeping experience. The foam is thick, supportive, and molds perfectly to your body, providing way more comfort than traditional air pads or sleeping bags alone. What really impressed me is how well it insulates from the cold ground – I stayed warm and cozy all night, even on uneven terrain. It’s also surprisingly easy to roll up and pack, and it comes with a sturdy strap or carrying case that makes it super portable. The cover is soft, durable, and easy to clean – perfect for outdoor adventures. Whether you're camping, road-tripping, or just need an extra sleep surface at home, this mattress is a solid investment. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to sleep well under the stars! Overall, this mattress seems like it will be a great option for camping, especially as an alternative to an air mattress. Pros: The mattress arrived vacuum-sealed and wrapped in plastic lining. Decent comfort level for camping. A good size for two young children. The removable cover is washable. Straps make it easy to condense, roll up, and carry. The instructions were very thorough. The mattress did even out and expand properly with time. The thickness is decent support while camping. Cons: The smell when opening the box was very strong. I had to open the windows in my house right away. You will definitely want to ventilate it for a few days before sleeping on it. One of my boxes came with the straps already attached to the mattress, while the other had the straps loose in the box. Overall: The worst part was definitely the smell, but aside from that I’m happy with the purchase. We camp a lot, and I’m excited to use these in place of an air mattress. They roll up and condense well, which should save us the usual hassle that comes with dealing with air mattresses. Read more
Worth every penny. Great addition to the cot I bought with a paper thin pad. The second I laid down the back pain relief was instant. If you have room in your car to pack this, DO IT Read more
I bought this to use at night on my couch since taking in an elderly family member. My hips were hurting sleeping in my couch every night for a month. This is amazing. Thick, supportive and very comfortable, even my 12 year old said “ I laid on that this morning and it feels great”. It rolls up easily and the buckle strap is easy to use. So glad I purchased this!!!
