I got the 4 pack XL. I work in a shop where it can get really cold. The shirts are really soft and stretches. They have fleece lining and it does help keep you warmer than regular long sleeves. My only issues is the shirt rides up the stomach and I have to keep pulling it down. I can deal with that though because the shirts are really comfortable and warmer. I have found it runs a little small, especially if you have a full chest and fuller arms. Fabric texture varies slightly based on the color of the top.
