Update: I've been wearing these boots every day for about a month now. They've stretched a bit and now feel perfectly snug with a slightly thicker sock. In other words, they've stretched out a bit. Still love them. They're great. First review: I'm a solid size 9, sometimes 9.5, but the size 9s in the Chukka's were way too big. The 8.5 fits pretty perfectly. I have narrow heels and the boots don't slip which is great. I have high arches and these boots do not provide much by way of arch support, but an insole should take care of that. I love these boots! They do run big per Danner website - i wear a 7.5 or 8 and I ordered 7 and they fit fine and in fact have stretched out so they feel perfect with thicker socks. Next time I will order a 6.5 per Danner recommendation. These also run warm so if you use on a hot summer day expect sweaty feets :) but not too bad - perfect for Winter though. These fit, as far as the sizing being correct, but that's about it. I like how light they are and the color. The boot collar is stiff and painful while walking. Maybe my ankles are too thin to handle it, but these felt awful! Sending back! Read more
Danner will forever be my boot for life. I cannot get over how comfortable, nice looking, and supportive they feel. True test will be how they hold up in wet weather. You will love this boot. Sizing a wee-bit big. Read more
Extremely comfortable, true to size (I'm an 8, ordered an 8), and zero break-in time. The soles grip well on wet surfaces and they're very durable. However, these are definitely made for light hiking/trails as I could still feel rocks and branches as I climbed over them. If you're just doing flat hiking these are great for miles. Read more
Perfect lightweight boot. Made it through just about every season and temperature on a weeks visit to Scotland. Only had water penetrate the boot once when I got my foot stuck in a boggy section. Was the only pair of shoes I brought with me and worked great for hiking and also with pants for dinner and around town walking. Read more
