I am so pleased with this purchase. I am not using this for everyday, it's for going out to a restaurant or evening, only because the fabric is soft and seems delicate. I needed a neutral to "go with anything" and this fits my expectation. The size is not too small and two removable straps means a lot of flexibility. The shorter strap is what I will use for a "dressier" event. I love the pleating and the secure magnetic closure. There is only one open pocket inside that could hold a phone. There are no zip pockets at all. There was no odor of any kind and it was very well packaged including a dust cover with handles for storage. The color is so nice that it can blend with any colorway. Cute as a button - but literally the size up from a small clutch. Room only enough for keys, cc holder and comb or narrow brush, NOT A HOBO because that would indicate a larger size, so the name hobo is very misleading. It’s only a hobo in style, but not size, which is technically what I was looking for. It did say a “compact size” 8.2 for height x 9.5 long- smaller than a foot. But for just a quick run out to eat or just to the store and back, it’s perfect. I went ahead and bought it”s sister handbag which was more my desired size; I just wanted the hobo style.
