Update: Installed permanently in not just one but TWO cars. Installation was fairly straightforward and I'm very happy with the generous length of wires provided for both the front (main) camera and the rear-facing ancillary camera. The resolution/clarity of the recorded videos is excellent. The fact that the monitor screen goes dark after about a minute is a great big nod to safe vehicle operation. There are plenty of recording/operating options but not so many as to be difficult. Easy to set up, and once set up you can just forget it's there and drive on. For the price point it's a great value and I'm going to purchase a "ready spare" just in case. Have not installed it permanently, but after plugging everything in and checking it out I'm impressed. Video quality is crisp and clear. At power up it automatically begins recording and this is very assuring. The separate rear camera is a bonus. Wiring it in neatly will be a pain, but it would be with any dashcam. Cables appear long enough for our SUV but will have to actually install it to grade it in that area and update this review accordingly. Surprised to find a 32GB name brand micro SD card installed. Assuming no installation issues a really good buy. Read more

Camera does it job. I got this camera for my wife’s suv since she does most of the driving with my children during the day . Knowing Houston traffic you need a camera. Amazing this camera has a good quality for a 1080p version . Front camera suction Cup sticks really well. No hard work there . As for the rear I did the mistake in installing it way on top of the back window near the headliner. Now camera looks more on the pavement view than back street view. ( my mistake , i will have to readjusted with 3m tape so it can record back view on the cars behind me) The cables for the rear are long enough to the point that I had to stuff some on top of the headliner . I used a fish wire for this install. My rear is position inside and not outside since I did not want to drill the outside of the car. If you have tinted windows please advise view may vary depending on the darkness of the tint . If you have really dark or limo tints it will not be your best friend at night you will see only headlights behind you . Luckily this SUV has tinted windows but not the point that are impossible to see at night . If you are looking for that quality view you will have to install outside . I wish the vendor would give you the option for cigarette connector or hardwire kit included . My other complain is that both side are connected by usb and camera cable. Hopefully in the future they do it on one side only . Read more

I have had mine installed on 2 cars for about 1.5-2 years now. both work well, the adhesive on the suction has gone bad after two years in the florida sun, and the adhesive on the rear camera finally gave out on our SUV. however, I have found these dash cameras to be the best bang for your buck. I advise to buy separate trim tools for hiding the wires and to use the adhesive mount after the suction on the front mount goes bad. I have never figured out how to retrieve the memory card, as I have not had the need personally Read more

Around a certain week in April, it seemed like there was this strange occurence for drivers to drive as crazy and moronic as can be. Non-stop. That whole week in particular I kept having encounters that could've gotten me involved in a car accident due to the insane amount of reckless drivers. There was even one where I legitimately could've gotten killed due to a driver actively ignoring the honk of my horn when they were dangerously close to my vehicle. The one that really broke the camel's back for me was when I was at this three-way when heading to my local Walmart. And this one vehicle who I believe was driving a Jeep was in the opposite direction of the three-way. However, you could tell that this person was not only being idiotic, but wasn't paying attention at all to the lane that they were supposed to be in as they came down. For this driver almost caused a direct head-on collision with me, only for the driver to realize on their own and managed to get into the correct lane. Needless to say, this made me livid. And encouraged me to find and look up a dash cam to record a potential incident caused by a reckless and irresponsible driver. That's when this reasonably and fair priced dash cam came up as the first result in the search. My decision was sealed after the amount of positive reviews. The set-up was overall simple. Took me a bit to adjust and find an appropriate position for the rear cam view. But other than that, there was no issue having everything in place. The playback quality is pretty good and appears to be clear enough. As well as the amount of view the camera itself is able to capture. I love it so far, as it gives me reassured confidence to capture the moment should I get involved in an incident. The thing I look forward to the most should it come to that is seeing a potential mortified reaction when someone realizes I captured everything on camera. Read more
