The first bit of good news is that it IS 4K, when that is selected or by default. I read a review of another dash cam that claimed 4K and it never went above 1080P, no matter the setting. I tested all three resolutions, downloaded the files, and opened in the appropriate video program that confirmed the numbers. Having said that, I really can't see any reason to go over 2K. Doing so will also make your SD card last longer. The whole setup was pretty straightforward, including obtaining and using the wifi enabled (why don't any of these cameras use bluetooth? Would be the perfect choice, no switching wifi AP's in your phone, Yes, I have wifi when on road trips via a hotspot) app. I had one email inquiry to customer service, answered reasonably promptly and well done. Besides what you expect, it comes with both suction cup and sticky tape mountings, and a short cord to the rear camera if you want to mount it to see the interior instead. The printed instruction booklet is English only (Thank you!), large, and extremely well done. Plenty of illustrations and warnings. One thing that could be confusing is their presumption that your cig lighter is live only when the engine is on. There are cars that are always on (like my current and last, two always on outlets) and cars that shut off with the ignition (like my previous last two.) So, YYMV as to powering things up or not. Logically, the parking cam functions can only run with power to the camera, so you need either a cig lighter that stays on, or the hard wire kit. The latter will shut off the camera when the car battery voltage drops to 11.7V, thus leaving enough to start your car. I did a test with both the main and rear cameras on. This camera has, in fact, two different 2K's. When you select 2K for the front camera, it is really "QHD" at 2560x1440 pixels. A very nice and functional 60% increase in surface area over standard 2K, 1920x1080 pixels. The rear camera always records in standard 2K. When it is connected, the camera records a file for each, and they are labeled F and R. Nice. I spent the better part of a day testing various options in order to find what I want. One weird thing that appears to be the way most or all dash cams are set up is that you can't just record continuously as one file until the SD card is filled. The default time is 1 minute, after which a new file is started, which results in hundreds of files for any length of operation. I set the default to 5 minutes, the maximum. Still too weird, especially if you want to make a travelogue. Of course, you can splice all your 5 minute vids into a long one with about any video editing program. NOTE THAT THERE IS NO AUTO SHUT OFF OPTION FOR WHEN THE CARD IS FULL! You will have to catch it and download content before that happens. All in all, a good purchase. Same advice as this dashcam. Almost a year later, and if anything, I love this camera more. My original installation car died, and I wound up getting rentals for a few months. SO easy to transfer, and with rental car liabilities, could prove invaluable. I have just returned from a road trip into Mexico, and I have a days long record of that trip for my memories. Most importantly for me, it recorded my car traversing the Rio Grand via America's only hand drawn ferry! And going through US Customs with audio. Ya never know.... DO GET A 256GB CARD! In fact, as cheap as memory is now I may up that. My previous advice was using a 2K setting. I now go full 4K and I still get about three days of recording, always on. The recorded videos are stunning, just like they came out of a dedicated video camera. (I should know, well versed here.) Read more

Sadly dont have any photo's as I bought this as a gift for a friend who got a new car the end of last year. She lives in a bad neighborhood (in my opinion lol) and i just wanted her to be safe both on the road and when its parked. I bought her connections for direct battery power so she can use the parking monitor function. The functions of the camera are typical for most dashcams but the built in wifi and the voice commands are an added extra bonus for the price. Most dashcams with these functions wanna run up over the $100 limit or they are cheaper because the camera quality is of lower resolution. This dashcam has it all. High resolution recording, dual front and back cams, (the back cam is a small camera with a long enough cord that runs to connect to the main dashcam. it can be places on the back window of the car of inside or depend on the car size on the middle light console on the inside roof of the car so as to get the backseat/visual through the back window with the back sides. This mostly only works in SUV's or trucks. In a regular car I would strongly suggest it directly on the back window. Just make sure you dont place it directly over the heating grid line so it doesn't obscure the dashcam recording. ) My friend loves it, loves using the mobile app and the voice commands. She's made post about it on her social media, and constantly tells me how happy she is with it. She always wanted to get one but isn't tech savy as she calls it, and was afraid she would overpay for something not worth it. She tells me she feels a lot safer now without having to worry about possible insurance scams or just in general if she were to get in a crash and see a crash this could help not just her but possible someone else while on the road. But at her apartments she doesn't worry as much about her car getting broken into. The memory card that came with the camera just made it that much easier to setup immediately without spending extra money or extra accessories. The dashcam screen itself even though the normal size is very crisp and clean looking. The color on the screen looks more vivid then human eye sight xD The night vision itself is amazing. Clear and crisp as well. You can cleary read License plates and see faces when watching back the recording both on the dashcam itself and on a computer. the app just makes it that much easier without having to directly remove the memory card. All in all this was a really good buy. The price vs the quality is still breath taking. I mean Im honestly buying another one for my car as I have an older dashcam thats like 4 years old. Read more

Using this as dashcam/backup cam in a short bus camper. Overall, a good picture front and back, but the device menu and the app could use a little help. When the cameras boot up, I have to use the on-device menu and screen to enable the WiFi and let the app take control. After that, you don't have to mess with the small screen for regular operation I view the video on my iPad connected via WiFi which gives a nice big screen to see. Quality of picture is very good and clear in both cameras. Requires the use of their app and switching WiFi on the iPad. Again, a few steps but easy enough and probably very common with all devices in this range. The cords were long enough to mount the front cam by the rear-view mirror and still reach a power supply and the back window in a 20 foot long bus, so most cars will have no problem. Read more

It's a decent price for a camera that has come in handy for an accident that was one person against the other, if it wasn't for the video caught on who was at fault. I have one for all the cars in my family and will purchase another one when my youngest drives. Just gotta download the app to gain easier access to videos stored on sd card. It comes with an sd card but you can get a larger capacity sd card for it. Was not difficult to install but if you want to hide the cords, it will take you some time. The camera is not big and will not obstruct your view. Just make sure you have some one to look at camera view as it's on and tell you that you're placing the back camera in a right side up view, as its easy to stick on and not notice its upside down if you do it on your own. Easy to use, just keep it plugged in and it does its thing. We've used it to play back road incidents, and even a shooting star while driving at night. It provides clear video, and peace of mind. Read more
