This is a really nice dashcam! First off, the camera feels well made and doesn't feel cheap. It's very simple to setup and use and even has an app to go along with it. The app is also very easy to use and navigate. The app is not necessary to use the dashcam - it just makes things a little more convenient. The quality of the camera is very good and way better than most at this price point. I can confirm it is 4K resolution and the amount of detail presented is superb. Even low light scenarios look great and pretty clear. This comes with everything you need to get started including a microSD card. All wires and mounting options are also included. This is great as there is nothing additional you will need to fully enjoy this dash cam. This camera has GPS built into the camera making it even easier to setup. The GPS coordinates and your rough speed, can be displayed on the footage itself if you like. The app does allow you to download the videos and photos from the camera to your phone if you want or you can simply remove the sdcard and insert it into a reader - your choice. All things considered, this dash camera works exactly as described and while it is a little more expensive than most, I can say the addition of the SD card and the overall quality help to make it well worth the price. Let me start by saying that this is my first dashcam. After reading so many stories of people who had an accident where the other party either lied about what happened or there was some ambiguity about who was at fault, I really wanted to get one. This is a good no-frills dashcam but seems to be priced as if it has many of the higher end features. Don't get me wrong, it works well. I had a lot of positives - + The camera uses industry standard codecs to write the footage. I have a co-worker who owns a different one and to get footage off the card he has to jump through hoops to install and use different software to get to the footage. With this one you just plug the microSD card into your computer (Mac or PC and I assume Linux would be the same) and you can see your footage. This is a MAJOR positive for me. + The display is sharp, and bright. You can dim it but I don't find it distracting the way it is. + Quick setup. I was using it within minutes. I used my own microSD card and it formatted the 128GB card in no time at all. + Easy to use. I tend to be on the more technical side when it comes to using devices. Anyone could set this up. + Good mounting. I have this on my dashboard for now with the adhesive still covered because where I live it's really cold and I'm afraid the adhesive won't stick well until it warms up a bit. This isn't the fault of the company at all and I might be worrying for nothing. I did have 2 negatives - - The GPS takes a little while to lock in. One of the reasons I wanted one is that I live in an area where few people obey stop signs. Between the time I leave my house and I get on to a main road, I've stopped at 4-6 stop signs. The GPS doesn't get a good lock for a minute or so. By this time I've passed a few intersections and have stopped at least twice. If someone were to say I blew through a stop sign, the GPS speedometer would immediately disprove them. Thankfully someone would still be able to show that their car was stopped by looking at the footage, but the GPS speedometer would be a slam dunk. - This might be common across all dashcams, but the power connector goes through the mount. There is a mini-usb connection on the side which might allow powering of the dashcam, the instructions weren't entirely clear and I didn't want to damage the unit. I'm not a fan of proprietary connectors so that's a negative for me. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the price point. For the range they sell it, you can get one that does both front and rear. I'd still recommend it as it's a fine dashcam. Read more

I've been using the camera for about a month. It was easy to set up and easy to start using. Mount is super secure with the double sided tape provided. I do like that they have an extra piece in there, just in case you don't like where you placed it the first time. The app has terrible reviews, but I've found that it works as it should, and I'm able to see my videos on my phone without any issues. I do love the parking mode. This is the main reason i wanted to try this camera. So, at night, i unplug the device from the cigarette lighter, and it automatically goes into parking mode. If it senses enough force, it will turn back on and start recording. This is great for that "mystery damage" that can occur in a public parking lot at night. The only negative item i have been able to spot is the price point. at $200 this is an expensive camera. I have discovered the software that's inside the camera once you plug it in. The GX player will actually show you map, and speed of the video bits actually pretty amazing. I'm kinda impressed Read more

Pros: -Good quality video -Easy to get started -GPS works pretty well as it gives a speedometer as well Cons: -The app that is supposed to function in conjunction with the camera doesn't work for me. I can't connect to the camera with my smartphone. Why risk using wi-fi when you can put in a Bluetooth option? It's not practical. -It would be nice to have a continual recording option instead of just 1 to 2 minute loops -You're apparently supposed to be able to unmount the camera to transfer files via USB to your computer and that's also just not practical; just use the included SD card -Like many current companies, the instructions are very bare bones and difficult to understand I haven't been close enough to a collision (thankfully) to know if it does the locking of the video occurs properly or if the collision sensors go off. Knock wood, I'll never have to know. There are just some features that don't really make sense for practical purposes and with a few tweaks, it could be excellent. Read more
