I am thoroughly impressed with this Dash Cam Front and Rear system. As someone who spends a fair amount of time on the road (and is always looking for smart tech solutions for my vehicle), this dual-camera setup has provided immense peace of mind and some great features that make it stand out from the competition. Here’s a realistic breakdown of why I highly recommend it: Exceptional Video Quality (4K UHD Front): The 4K front camera provides incredibly sharp, clear footage. License plates and road details are easy to read both during the day and at night, thanks to the UHD 2160P resolution and WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) technology. The rear camera also provides solid coverage, ensuring I have eyes on all angles. Seamless Connectivity: The built-in 5G WiFi is a game-changer. Transferring video files to my phone is incredibly fast, and the app control makes viewing live footage, adjusting settings, and downloading clips a breeze. The built-in GPS accurately logs my speed and location, which is crucial for documentation purposes. Touch Screen Interface: The 3-inch IPS touch screen is responsive and intuitive to navigate. It’s large enough to view footage clearly but discreet enough not to be a distraction while driving. Comprehensive Safety Features: The 24-hour parking monitor gives me peace of mind when my car is parked, automatically recording if any impact is detected. The G-Sensor functionality ensures that footage around a collision is automatically locked and saved, so I never have to worry about losing critical evidence. Everything You Need Included: The fact that a 64GB card is included means it’s ready to go right out of the box—no extra purchases necessary. This dash cam offers a premium feature set and delivers fantastic performance, making it a reliable and essential accessory for any driver concerned with safety and documentation. It feels right at home in a tech-forward vehicle! Read more

Overall the front camera does a good job. The 4K resolution and image quality is pretty good. The rear facing camera is only 1080p - which is better than NO video, but isnt very clear and doesn’t capture enough detail to make reading license plates reliable. I’m not a fan of the touch screen controls. I haven’t had the need to manually capture video - but there have been a few times I wanted to save video to demonstrate to my kids some examples of bad behavior and/or unsafe driving that I’ve seen. (They’re young drivers, and haven’t seen first hand some of the idiocy on the roads that they should learn to anticipate.) Installation was okay - keep in mind that running the wiring to the back camera is a hassle, but that would be true of ANY dashcam with a separate rear facing camera. Read more

This dash cam really does have a lot of great features. I like the built-in GPS that records where events occurred. While visual indications might be sufficient under normal circumstances, it's possible that an incident at night or in the middle of nowhere with no real landmarks in sight could present a problem. The GPS provides proof-positive of where an event occurred. I like the big bright screen on this device. It's a touch-screen, so all you have to do is tap the screen and a menu comes up with options - such as the ubiquitous gear icon that allows you to easily scroll through all the settings, selecting and setting whatever you will using your finger. I found that very appealing. The rear camera is both powered and communicated with a single cable from the main unit, which has a four-pin plug on the camera end and a four-segment pin-plug on the head unit end. I'm not such a fan of cables like that, and prefer USB-C type cable much more. USB-C cables make the install much more versatile for future modification (read as - swapping out main unit or rear camera or both without running a new cable through the head-liner). Speaking of modification, I think I'll insert my nit-pick here: This device can't communicate with a USB-PD, so if you plug it in to a USB-PD power source, it gets absolutely no power. Now, most things say that you have to use their power supply (as does this - but did it say that in the ad before I bought it? No, I don't think so), but it's only rarely nowadays that you really have to. On this device, you must use an old-fashioned USB-A power output. Why is that important to me? Because I already had a cable with a USB-C terminal installed up through the dash, A-pillar, head-liner, and out at the rearview mirror that I wanted to use, and it's wired into a USB-PD power supply. So, it doesn't work for this unit. Could I change the power supply that I have hard-wired inside the dash to a USB-A? Sure I could. At the investment of some amount of time and money that I would have preferred not to expend. A different dash cam might be an easier solution for me, quite frankly. So, to carry on with what I love - the suction cup mount is super strong. Companies are getting better and better with their materials and design for this. In the old days they didn't really work so great. Combined with the fact that this device isn't very heavy, the entire assembly stays on the windshield very reliably. This is a small thing, but the device was packaged by the manufacturer really well. Such quality and care in the packaging gave me a warm fuzzy that the device was perhaps manufactured with the same quality and care. All of the cables that came with it are heavy-duty and well-made. I also like that the front-facing lens can be adjusted all around to some extent. Not to a great extent, but if you want to change the view just a little without moving the entire mount, then you can do it. There are four metal contacts between the mount and the device. Why? What are they for? I've included a picture of those contacts. Turns out, the GPS antenna is in the windshield mount. Don't break or lose it. I also dropped in a picture of the screen, which I think has great resolution. It's really reflective, though, which you can also see in this picture. I think that all auto products should have mat-surface screens. If this device stays in my car for any length of time, I'll add a mat screen protector to it to cut down on the glare. So, all-in-all, it's a pretty great unit. If you can live with the USB-A power source kerfuffle, then maybe this is the dash cam for you. Only almost recommended - even with a five-star rating.
