This rinse-free shampoo and body bath works well in a cinch for hiking or camping. After a long sweaty day, I used this to freshen up when I didn't have a shower or a sink readily available and it did as good of a job as I'd expect. Think hand sanitizer but less harsh, no scent, and for the whole body. It was quite watery though, so I had to pool into my palms and pat onto my body rather than apply directly. Read more
Got 2 bottles. It's very watery and you need to use a wash cloth. Wasn't sure how much I should be using. I wet the cloth and started using. So, pretty easy to use. A slight scent. No lather, not sure if I used too little. For hair, didn't like how it left my hair. Not sure if it didn't clean well or left residue or some combination of both. For body, it was ok but I couldn't tell how effective it really was. I didn't use it continuous for multiple days so don't know if it is good for long term use. It's advertised as on the go or for post surgery. For on the go, you need to carry a wash cloth. For on the go, would prefer a wet nap. For post surgery, if I'm home, would probably prefer to rinse with wet cloth soaked in water after using and don't need something that is rinse free. I'm not a camping person so don't know if it would be good for that. I guess this is ok but not sure when I would use it. Read more
I like to use this product in lieu of dry shampoo. It allows me the opportunity to restyle the top part of my hair with a blow dryer without doing a full shampoo. My daughter was unable to shower for a week after surgery, and she used this along with water for a sponge bath and said the product made her feel refreshed. Read more
Works well in a pinch for keeping hair manageable for my wife who works long shifts in a hospital setting. She likes this and said she will buy again when this runs out. Doesn't really have a scent to it, but a tiny bit of "something" like a cleanser, but overall it is accurately described. Wouldn't use every day to replace showers, but i could see the benefit of using this while hiking or camping for extended trips and being okay with it. Read more
I had an opportunity to use this on a recent camping trip. I also had disposable wash cloths (i.e. reinforced washcloth-sized towels) with me, so I applied some of this cleaner to them. It was nice to be able to wipe away the sunscreen and the grime and my skin really did feel fresher afterwards. It also seems fairly economical since you can just use what you need rather than using a pre-moistened towel. Although it's good for skin cleansing, I cannot see using this in anything but the shortest hair. If I applied this to my hair, I think it would make things worse not better. Also, it's worth noting that the bottle was definitely snapped and closed and it must've fallen over in the tent. By the time I noticed, there was a bit of leakage apparent on the floor. In the future, I'll put this inside of a bag to lower the chances of leaks. Read more
I was so unsure about this stuff. I mean, it's a shampoo and body wash that doesn't use water? What is this witchcraft? But I ordered it for my husband, who due to recent hospitalizations and surgeries, can't wash his hair or shower as he needs to. I thought this would work to fill in the gaps between supervised showers. And I was right. We both were very skeptical of this, but my husband being the trooper that he is, said "Let's wash my hair!" just as his hair was looking very greasy and dirty and in need of a shampoo. I poured some of this on his head and rubbed it in, all over, making sure to get all the hair. It was super easy. Afterward, I did use a small towel to pat the hair dry. After a while, his hair was dry and pretty clean! And NO RESIDUE! Amazing! This is not going to replace your normal showers, but in a pinch, it's great and works well. If you have need of this, I recommend with five stars. Read more
This came well sealed and upon opening it had a very faint nice fresh scent. I have super long hair, but my roots tend to get pretty oily before I can wash the rest of it (to prevent overdrying out the ends ) so I was hoping to use this on my roots in the interm. Unfortunately, this product did not work out for me and was more watery than I had anticipated. It feels mostly like water with a slight soapy feel. I tried it on a section of my hair and I was surprised at how long it took to actually dry. Also, after just a few minutes it started slightly stinging my scalp. It wasn’t too bad, so I hung with it and waited for it to dry. However, once it was dry, it looked very heavy and oily. I also tried it on my skin, but I didn’t like the “heavy” after feel. It just really felt like I needed to go rinse with water. I do think this is pretty similar to what they use in hospitals, but I’m not sure about that lasting sticky or oily-type feeling, and I don’t recall them creating that stinging sensation. It’s back to dry shampoo sprays for me… Based on my experiences with this and how I rate, this earns: 2 Star – Lacking in key areas.
