I grabbed this dual 4K dashcam a little while back to put in my car, and overall I’ve been pretty happy with it. First off, the picture quality is really solid — having both front and rear cameras shooting in 4K gives you way more detail than the old 1080p setup I had before. It’s super nice when you’re trying to read a license plate or catch exactly what happened in an incident. The fact that it already comes with a decent amount of built-in storage (128GB) was a big bonus too — that meant I didn’t have to rush out and buy a big micro-SD card right away. The footage just loops nicely and I haven’t had any weird overwriting issues yet. Installation wasn’t too bad for me. I’m no mechanic, but the mount stuck to my windshield firm enough and the wires tucked out of sight fairly cleanly. The app control is cool as well — I can pull up clips on my phone without having to plug anything in. Night vision isn’t perfect (what dashcam really is?), but it’s definitely better than older cams I’ve had and decent enough for most situations. That said, there are a couple of things that bug me. The instructions could have been clearer — I fumbled around for a bit figuring out the best way to set it up and customize settings. And sometimes the Wi-Fi link to my phone is a little slow or flaky, which gets annoying if I’m just trying to grab a quick clip. I also wish the companion app was a bit more intuitive — it feels like it’s trying to do too much and doesn’t always make sense right away. There are way too many issues with this dashcam the kind that will slowly drive you crazy because there’s no real fix for them. First, the rear camera USB-C cable is unbelievably thick. It’s extremely difficult to tuck into tight gaps, especially in German cars where the trim fitment is already very tight. On top of that, the cable is far too long. Why isn’t there a shorter option for smaller cars and an extension for larger vehicles? What am I supposed to do with all this excess thick cable? Even worse, the rear dashcam’s USB-C port is designed so that the connector only works in one orientation. It constantly sits upside down, and if you try to plug it in the other way, the camera doesn’t work. That completely defeats the purpose of USB-C being reversible. It’s such a poor design choice. Lastly, picture quality is same as other dashcams I have had. Nothing special. I honestly can’t believe these basic but important details were overlooked. I’ve been using this Dual4K dash cam for a bit and honestly I’m really happy with it. Install was pretty easy overall. The only kinda annoying part was routing the wires from the back to the front, that was a little rowdy lol. Just make sure the USB cord only goes in one direction — if it doesn’t work don’t freak out, just rotate it and it’ll work, angled part goes down. Once it was set up, both cameras looked super sharp. After downloading the app it connected right away and the video quality looks great on my phone. One thing I really like is that it has built-in memory, so you don’t have to rush out and buy a memory card immediately. That was a nice surprise. There is also a slot that can handle up to a 512GB microSD if you want more storage later. Overall I’m happy with it, works great and does exactly what I needed. Definitely worth it in my opinion.
