Iodine in an easy-to-use package
Povidone iodine, the generic name for Betadine, is a great antiseptic with broad activity and low chance of resistance. I recommend it for first aid kits for all the places I work with. The only problem is that it is extremely messy and likely to stain clothing. Confining it to a wipe like this solves the problem. I keep a box of these around in my first aid kit, and use them regularly. They are a bit more difficult to tear open than alcohol swabs - use the notch on each packet. The pad is thin, but gets the job done. Side note: Not sure why Amazon wanted me to rate the "flavor" of this product, but keep it away from kids that might eat it. Read more

Nice way to apply betadine
Applying betadine is annoying as you need a cotton ball which you end up soaking and wasting most of it … or you end with a giant bottle that might take I ten years to use up (unless you have 15 accident prone kids) and us it still good after a few years?? This is great as you get two soaked gauze pieces in each sealed packet so u get exactly what you need and it’s sealed so it maintains it’s medical strength until u need it. Great option! Read more
