Some reviews stated the packaging was substandard. I can assure you this was very well packaged - the delivery person fell coming up the stairs and the box went flying. The outside of the box was torn about 2 inches. Yet when I opened the box to inspect it, everything was exactly in place. The foam was cut to fit the pieces individually and then taped together, the end result was a perfect lamp with no scratches or knicks. The lamp shade was in perfect condition. The lamp itself looks great in my husbands beach themed room!! I originally wanted the distressed white but it was sold out so I opted for the warm gray. It looks great! Reminds me of driftwood. I was a little worried to order because some of the reviews on the lamp shade. But I found it on sale so I thought I would chance it. The way this came packaged was amazing! I wish I would've taken a picture before I took it out of the box! Very well protected! I assembled in about 10 min or less. Pictures don't do it justice! It is very sturdy and very pretty! Love this lamp! Very easy to assemble. It has 3 pieces that just screw into each other. Very sturdy. We have it in our living room and it’s just perfect! The shade is a burlap sort of material and the stand is a washed out gray. Highly recommend. Read more

Bought this as a close enough style to go with another floor lamp in a large room. Already had misgivings when I removed the lamp parts from the packaging, which did arrive completely intact, and there was already scuffing on one section. As I assembled the parts, I noticed the boring on each section (some kind of resin) looked really uneven and ragged. My suspicions as to the true quality confirmed when I finished assembling the simply screwed together sections, stood the lamp up, and two pieces broke right on the mid section as you can see in photos.
