We have four dogs; two dachshunds, an american staffordshire terrier, and an alaskan malamute, so this was a must for our sectional. The material is good quality, a bit hefty, and waterproof. It works great to keep messes off our couch from our kids and dogs. The only issue we really have is that it is VERY heavy and doesn't fit perfectly. There is a lot of excess fabric and it doesn't fold good to mold to the couch. It just kind of sits there and looks a bit messy and stretches across the corners and is not able to be tucked. This is hands down the best and most durable couch cover I have found on Amazon. I have gone through at least a dozen different types over the years including spandex, jacquard weave, microfiber, throw blankets, and even denim. None of them held up to my huskies. My male has a habit of digging wherever he lays, and my older German Shepherd has a bit of a leaky bladder. Every other cover we tried would shred or soak through, but this one is virtually indestructible and completely waterproof. Nothing leaks through to the couch or cushions, and dog hair does not stick to the surface at all. The material has a tight weave that prevents hair from getting embedded like cheaper covers do. I can just shake it off or use my Dyson spinning brush attachment and the hair comes right off. The back side has small rubberized grips that keep it from slipping even when the dogs jump on and off the couch. Installation is as simple as it gets. You just lay it over your couch, tuck it in around the cushions, and it stays put. The dark gray color with its subtle striped weave pattern looks really nice and goes well with our furniture . The fabric feels like a cross between denim and short pile microfiber, with a backing that looks similar to a heavy duty Gore-Tex type weave. It washes great in the top loader, none of the grip beads came off, and it did not delaminate or weaken after washing. For the price, this cover is a fantastic value. I have two of them now and even use the shorter piece on our king bed since the huskies like to dig there too. These have saved us a ton of money and frustration from constantly replacing destroyed covers. If you have dogs that are rough on furniture, this is the last one you'll have to buy. Read more
