I hardly ever write a review, let alone one of a monitor, something I plan to use for years without changing. But this model really deserves praise. It has the perfect size and the perfect resolution. I think 4K is an overkill for a 27-inch monitor, yet 1080p is too low. 2K strikes the perfect balance between the two, giving me crisp texts yet not making everything appear super small as 4K monitors of this size tend to do. The display is very beautiful. I use it with my MacBook Pro mostly for work, including coding, writing and some occasional video consumption. The 100Hz refresh rate is very nice to have. Finally, two things really surprised me about this monitor. First, it is ridiculously easy to set up. The packaging is very simple and aids my unboxing nicely. The whole process takes less than 5 minutes. Second, the speaker is surprisingly good, like I-don't-expect-it-to-be-this-good good! It's not a Bose speaker of course, but it is definitely sufficient for watching videos and listening to music on a daily basis. Overall, really good monitor, and I'm very happy with my purchase. If you're looking for one to use for your workstation setup, I'd really recommend it! It's an investment for years to come, and I would find it hard to think the price is unreasonable. Read more

Decided to finally ditch 1080P and I wish that I have done it sooner. This is a great monitor. It is bright and the colors are really nice. It looks good from the box, but I needed to do a little tweaking to get it similar to my Wacom Cintiq for consistency...pretty close. It might take some time getting used to the smaller everything, but they all look sharp and crisp. It was between this and an LG 32" QHD...I think I made the right choice. 27" with 1440 is a sweet spot. A 32" may have been too big for someone like me who sits really close to the monitor. Pros: Great IPS Display Colors Brightness Clarity Build Quality The Speakers are really good! THE STAND...oooh the stand is great! CONS: Not much...I wished that there were more setting options. Even a cheap Sceptre had options for adjusting CMYK, Gamma, Etc. Read more

As an I.T. professional for decades... I've opened a LOT of monitors. Yes, this does what you'd expect from a product perspective. I've ordered and installed a couple dozen of these so far. Great screens, no dead pixels, 27" with 2K resolution, comes with HDMI cable, built in power supply so no dumb wall wart or AC adapter. All good things... But let me tell you what the biggest perk is of this thing if you are buying a lot of monitors... THE PACKAGING. Yes folks, you heard it here first. I appreciate SO MUCH the choices here. Dell nailed it: - No styrofoam blocks that inevitably break in transit and then leave dozens of single pellets of static electricity annoyance that cling to everything like a toddler to a mom's leg when all she wants is to use the bathroom in peace - No sliding a block of goods out of a too-tight box that won't move because the "handle" punch-ins were used and now they block any possible extraction of the contents of said box - No stickers on the bezel that advertise stats about the monitor that you already purchased and don't need to have as selling points, but inevitably leave some sticky residue when removed - No fingerprint magnet piano black covered in cellophane peels that you will either miss removing or you will remove and then will stick to you despite you flicking your wrist towards the trash can 8 times only to find it on your shoe later in the day - No plastic sheet covering the screen taped on with industrial strength shipping adhesive tape with fiber reinforcements that surely will not pull off cleanly and will instead peel like a banana when you try to remove it - No tape sealing every possible ingress point of the box that requires you to cut every seam wondering where the heck the open end is They NAILED it. The box is opened by laying it on its side, cutting a single piece of tape, opening the lid, pulling out the power and HDMI cables, stand parts (assembled tool-less), and then lifting off a single cardboard insert to reveal a foam bag which is pre-torn at the middle-bottom and you can tear further to expose the VESA mount and snap the stand into the monitor, lift it up and out... plug in cables, snap on a cover, and done. You are left with only cardboard save for a few sheets of paper, a foam bag, and a plastic bag from the power cable (not sure why a bag is needed) and a plastic wrap (that easily slides off) from the HDMI cable. If you need quick turnaround and/or appreciate relatively friendly environmentally conscious packaging, this is the winner. Best I've ever seen in terms of packaging. Plus it looks nice as a white monitor. Well worth the price if you can find it sub $200. Even at full price it's worth it if you are buying in bulk as it will save you time and hassle in deployment. Well done Dell! I bought one... then dozens more. It's now my "go-to" monitor for office use. Read more
