Beautifully made, quality piece
This Rila 4” centerset bathroom faucet by Delta is just beautiful! It is a treat to use it: it is solid and sleek, with handles that move smoothly and easily. It is a supreme value at this price of $57. This is the 4th Delta brushed nickel faucet we have installed in our home to replace the original Moen single handle brass faucets from 1990 that were corroding badly. A few reviewers have complained of inadequate water flow. Be sure to follow the directions with any newly installed faucet: before running the water for the first time, remove the aerator. Turn on both hot and cold water handles and flush lines for a full minute. We find that the water is inky and contains tiny black rubbery bits: you can see how this could clog an aerator in a second. Plastic drain assembly (with metal-topped flange and stopper) is not a downside, in my opinion. I am such a fan of newer plumbing, in including PVC P-traps which are so easy to install, and to clean out. When installing the drain assembly, do not use plumber’s putty: I’ve read that this will cause the plastic underside of the flange to deteriorate over time. Silicone II adhesive/sealant is recommended for this. These new Delta drain stoppers include a black plastic “comb” which prevents small items from falling down the drain. Parts in this box from Delta come individually wrapped, with the faucet itself even in bubble wrap. I’ve never found a ding or scratch on a new Delta part, and all parts needed are included in every box. Read more
