I ordered these jeans in Optic White, size 10. Based on customer reviews, I sized up. I have been a faithful customer of Talbots size 8 jeans through out the years, but they have done away with the slimming panel. Democracy has that feature. I think the jean quality rivals that of Talbots. The fabric in this jean is stretchy and smooth, rather than denim. The sewing is the very same. The fit of a size 10 is what I am used to in an 8, but the cut of the jean, for me, is too slim in the legs, bunching in the knee area, which is not a new problem for me. I am returning, but this is good to know. I am impressed by the fit and finish of the product. I just need a better fit in the knees. I love democracy jeans. They fit great however, I’ve ordered two pairs in a row. Now the picture looked like they were distressed. But when I got them, they were not. It’s very aggravating to have to return a pair and then get another pair that is just the very same. Still no distressing on the jeans. Very disappointing. Read more
