My package of instruments were delivered promptly and in clean, brand new condition. The tools are solid stainless steel and with proper technique (learn from videos or ask a dental hygienist the best way to position, grasp, and use the various tools) you should be able to clean your teeth just as well as an expensive dental office can do it. Again, proper (and careful/patient) technique is the key to inspecting your teeth, removing tartar and other objects around your teeth, scraping your teeth, and cleaning around the gumline. All the tools you need are in this kit to thoroughly clean your teeth calmly, inexpensively, and in the privacy of your home. Of course, dental offices will tell you that only a professional can/should clean your teeth. Baloney. Their opinion is meant for folks that use these tools improperly, are rough and careless, butcher their gums, and aren't patient as some tartar takes a great deal of picking and chipping to remove. This set of dental tools contains everything I need and nothing that I don't need. Compact, easy to store and carry, nice case and the tools themselves are very well-made. The tools feel solid and substantial and feel like they are made with precision. Be careful with some of the picks, they are quite sharp but they need to be to get into the smallest of crevices around your teeth. I wasn't sure I really wanted a dental mirror but once using this one I found I really liked it. The stainless steel used in this set seems like excellent quality. In addition, this would be a great little set for your tool box. These dental picks can come in handy for certain fine tasks that crop up from time to time. I did a lot of research on Amazon first before settling on this particular set of tools. I'm glad I purchased this set. High quality! Work really well! I've had a bad plaque problem due to a permanent wire retainer. After my last dental visit (they used the sonic water tool of death), I vowed to never have that happen again! With the help of these and Plax mouthwash, the plaque came out in chunks! I didn't even realize that the plaque bridged the gap between tooth and wire (making the back of my teeth somewhat smooth). After using this, I can feel the wire again (oddly an upside and downside). I only gave it 4 stars because my mirror came with an odd scratch, but it doesn't hinder it from working. Read more
In the past I have purchased dental tool sets with varying quality~~~from expensive but cheaply made, to ones that seemed to be fine but did not last, to this brand which I think is very well made and reasonably priced. None of the mirrors in any set I have purchased were fog free~~~perhaps that is just par for the course. With this brand the dental tools are packed carefully in a nice case which makes a professional presentation. The tools are very effective in removing plaque from the surface and residue from in between the teeth. My dental hygiene regimen is given a boost by these tools. I believe that you cannot go wrong with them. In my opinion this dental hygiene tool set from Majestic Bombay is worth the price as these tools are very effective. Plus, they feel solid. As someone who thinks her teeth are incredibly important I like to go a bit further with my oral hygiene. I go to the dentist regularly but sometimes brushing and flossing don’t get all the build up between visits. I bought this kit so I could scrape away any plaque buildup between visits and get a look at my back teeth with the mirror. I love the quality of the tools. Even my friend that is a hygienist said they were great quality and couldn’t believe I got them for how inexpensive I did. The case for the tools is great quality as well. Sometimes ordering items online they can be a hit or a miss and these are definitely a hit! They arrived quickly and I’m happy with the product. I have used this for few weeks now and while they do a pretty good job at keeping the build up to a minimum until the next Dental cleaning; I am noticing rust spots on them. The stainless steel used is perhaps not the type that should have been used for these type of tools that need to be sterilized before each use. Read more
Love it. The Instruments: Truly stainless steel. Super SHARP, so be careful. Seriously! Designed to allow your hands to grip the tools without slipping. Standard quality and size used in dental offices. The Bombay Case: The case is GREAT. The zipper does not snag against the red fabric. I attempted to scratch it up with my nails and not a single mark on the case. By the way: I didn't receive any instructions, which seems to be advertised in the seller's photos.... Side note: I used to be a certified dental assistant many decades ago. These instruments ARE the same grade of quality I used in the profession. I use them to clean my families teeth. MAKE SURE to sanitize after each use and COMPLETELY DRY them before placing back in the case or you will have moisture in a zipped up case. Read more
