Works great, I brought this up to the dentist at my daughters appointment and she verified it’s exactly the same thing as the kind they recommend(they usually tell u to go to Walgreens or your drugstore) I have my daughters both brush by themselves, then I give a purple tab and they chew it and spit out, very quick mouth rinse with water, then I let them see what they missed and I go in and brush their teeth. You totally don’t have to do what I do but the reason I personally am is to see if they’re actually learning or just rushing through it like a task. Only one problem I found and it can be prevented——>DONT LEAVE SPLASHES ON SURFACES(personally I only got on marble but don’t test fate)- it comes off but leaves a little purple hue behind which for my ocd drives me nuts. I’ll update when I find a solution for the hue Read more
Our kids didn't believe they were the problem, that they weren't brushing thoroughly enough. After using these tablets to show everyone's shortcomings in the dental hygiene department, we've had a complete turn around in behavior. Now we remind them every now and again about doing this experiment and they hustle to brush their teeth, because the flavor of these tablets is very nasty. Read more
I love it cause now I can see how my child brushes. The only thing I dont like that it stains the skin, it white. The tooth brushes stain. It take a couple washes to get it out. Overall though the tablet does show where all the plaque hides! Read more
These are amazing! Had my kiddos immediately running to grab their toothbrushes and brushing until the purple was gone! They do stain tongues/lips a little purple, but it came off after a few hours of drinking water. Read more
This did disclose the plaque but it tasted horrible and also dyed the tongue pink. The teeth could be cleaned off with toothbrush and toothpaste as expected but the tongue was pink even in the morning. The aftertaste was horrible and lasted a long while. I spit mine out after getting it all round my teeth (before the nasty taste set in), but my 7 year old only got it on one side of his mouth and then swallowed a lot of it. The next day at school he had diarrhea that was reddish color. There was no reason for this to happen except he swallowed the tab (it says not to, but it is for kids and they can not follow directions. The KID was so UPSET about this he went to the school nurse because he tough it was BLOOD! it was not blood just dyed reddish - but for goodness sake we just wanted to help the kid learn how and why to brush properly not have an anxiety attack the next day. Not to mention I had to discus poop with the school nurse at work. Read more
These Dental Plaque Disclosing Tablets are a fantastic tool for improving brushing habits! The color-changing feature makes it easy to see missed plaque, helping both kids and adults brush more effectively. My children love using them—it turns brushing into a fun and educational experience! The tablets are easy to use, taste mild, and make a noticeable difference in oral hygiene. Highly recommend for anyone looking to achieve cleaner teeth and better brushing habits! But I'm giving it 3 stars because the dye is sooo strong that it stains the sink and anywhere else. Took forever to scrub off the teeth too! Read more
