An odd collection
This appears to be a portable, emergency travel kit with dental instruments. It comes in a minimalist package in a plastic zippered case - first picture. Case is well made without an objectionable chemical smell. Zipper pull is on a small side and when opened, it is hard to "fish out" to close it - you can see how deep it sits at the top middle of pictures 2 and 3. Tools inside are well protected. Mirror came wrapped in a non-woven cloth (circled in picture 2) and sharp tips are covered with plastic tubes - visible in pictures 2 and 3. Mirror is clear and image is crisp. Writing on the handle of the mirror says ""stainless steel". While there are no more writings on any other tools, it is safe to presume they are all made from stainless steel. However, collection of instruments is a cause for concern for this dentist with 30 years of experience. First, tweezers are not locking (orange circle on picture 3) and I would prefer locking. Second, there are 2 tools with identical explorer tips (3 yellow circles on picture 3). Tool with a blue circle is an amalgam burnisher and unmarked tool seems to be an amalgam plugger - third picture. Tools with red and green circles in third picture I have not come across before nor use at my office. There is no scaler in this kit so I am not sure why description says this kit contains "Plaque Tarter Remover" and "Tooth Scraper" unless unidentified instruments are what is used for that purpose - which I would not. Instruments and case are well made, but this selection of instruments is not something I would pack into an emergency travel kit. Read more
