I looked on Amazon for a stainless steel tongue scraper and saw this set. I have a large torus in the roof of my mouth (a torus is a benign boney growth under the skin inside your mouth). It didn't use to cause problems, but now I sometimes get small bits of food caught where I can't easily remove them with my tongue. I especially like having the little mirror and tweezers for this. As it turns out, those assorted little picks and tools are nice for my crafts as well. I was surprised by the quality of these 10 tools in a zippered bag. I will need to go onto amazon and print off what the tools are meant for. I tried a couple and they worked well and the little mirror was great. I have had cheap ones from a box store and they were such a cheap mirror. I do believe these are the same as a dentist office. I do not have dental insurance so will try to keep my teeth clean with these. Read more

This kit comes with everything you need to remove that stubborn plaque at home. I would say to be very careful when using it as gums are very sensitive and you could easily cause bleeding. Quality if these tools is excellent and the included carrying case is great to keep everything in one place and take with you if needed. The tools are very similar to what a dental hygienist uses. Well, this isn't what I ordered, but it's what I got. Anyway, these are professional dental tools, and There's several tools included in this kit. I don't even know what to do with some of them. I can't afford dental insurance. Dental is separate from medical for some diabolical reason. I guess I'll have to take it upon myself to get my teeth cleaned as well as possible. I would be careful with these. If you don't use them right, you can damage your teeth. These can help clean some plaque off but mostly just the light stuff. They seem like they are good quality tools. They are made from stainless steel. The kit comes in a zippered case. I would clean them before use. Mine had a bit of residue from the fabric liner. Having plaque stuck to your teeth is not fun, but this set will help you clear that away. With the 10 different tools in this set, you will be able to get to plaque hiding in dark places in your mouth. The sharp edges on some of the tools will get right into the plaque, and help chip it away. Once you have chipped or scraped out the stubborn plaque, just rinse out your mouth, and it will feel fresher then before. This is such a well supplied dental kit that I feel like I could be a dentist now. It is taking me some time to use each tool the way that they are supposed to be used but once I got the hang of it I am cleaning like a pro.
