Derby Premium Double Edge Razor Blades 100 Count

These are really nice blades, and a fantastic value. I've gone through about a dozen blades so far, and I feel like I'm getting a more comfortable shave than with other brands. These Derby blades aren't spooky-sharp the way Feather blades are, but that also means they're more forgiving. If I breathe wrong while using a Feather blade, I'll wind up with a nasty cut. But these Derby blades feel a lot more forgiving, while still being plenty sharp enough to provide a close, comfortable shave. I don't have an extremely coarse, heavy beard, and I get 3 or 4 days of shaves out of each blade. I do have sensitive skin, and shaving with these blades leaves me with a lot less irritation and a cleaner shave than some other blades I've tried (Feather, Van Der Hagen, Merkur), and for a fraction of the price! Sharp and smooth. The other brand I was using was pulling my hair a little. These new blades glide over my face and give me a nice clean shave. I love the easy to use dispenser box. It makes it easy to safely get the blades out one by one as needed. This box of 100 blades will last me a long time. I tend to change them after ever 2-3 shaves depending on how scruffy I am. This is a very inexpensive option to the old fashioned disposable razors and these work much better. When i run out, i will be buying more for sure. Read more

I've used these blades for about six months now, decided I would wait to make sure my technique was good before reviewing the blades and chucking them aside. I have not tried many different blades, mostly just the cloud blades that came with my razor, and these, however I've found that these blades are quite reliable if you want to have a shave nick-free. I'm not after that BBS feel that many people seek, I mostly just want to get a shave, better than what I would get with an electric razor. These blades deliver what I'm looking for, a good shave with zero nicks or cuts. In fact I'm actually able to get about 5-7 such shaves without needing to switch blades when I use these, so in terms of best value for money I think these take the cake as long as you're not trying to go for a pure BBS shave every time. If you are going for a BBS shave, these are good for probably 1-2 of those, and then will need to be swapped out. Read more

I've been holding off on writing this review, so I could give them a good tryout. In the past years, I have used all of the usual suspects - Feather, Shark, Rapina - the list goes on and on. I was never really happy with any of them. Some didn't shave well, some didn't last but a few shaves, some were dull right out the box. You all know the story. On a whim, I decided to try Derby Premium in the black box. I do better with platinum coated blades, and these had that - plus chromium, tungsten and polymer. Everything but Rain-X. They were cheap on Amazon, so I went for them. Surprise, surprise, they're REALLY good! I get a close, smooth, shave and they last an entire week without stretching it. I know everybody's face is different, but if you're unhappy with your blades, try Derby Premium in the black box.
