I got this brush after watching YouTube Animal Kingdom Grooming. I have a German shepherd that sheds all the time of course and I wanted a brush that doesn’t damage her coat. This brush works so well and my dog loves it as well. It has definitely helped in reducing some of the shedding. Great buy! Read more
Amazing!!! I was hesitant to spend this much on a brush, but we have a shepherd mix and his undercoat is so hard to control. I’m so happy we spent the money. The amount of hair we got off is amazing. And our dog loves the feel of the comb. Highly, highly recommend! Read more
This is thing is great for our dogs. The medium works well on our husky and german shepherd mixes. Our groomer recommended this brush for deshedding--it works as well as the furminator without damaging the coat. I do think you can "overbrush" with it, so pay attention to the texture and quantity of hair that comes out; I back off once it's not pulling much and the hair feels thinner. I typically do the bulk of the deshedding with this and then switch to slicker to finish up. Read more
We own two husky mixes so we do a lot of brushing. We have several different brushes, but this is probably the best. It works very quickly and doesn’t seem to bother the dogs as much as some of the others we have. It manages to get to the undercoat without pulling as much, which makes it easier to use and less aggravating for the dogs. My only criticism is the plastic has a cheap feel for something in this price range, but I can’t argue with the results and it my favorite grooming tool. Read more
I have two 70-lb labs and this photo was taken after FIVE MINUTES of near effortless brushing with the short/medium Refuresh deshed. And this is AFTER brushing them for almost half an hour each two days before (bath day) with the Furminator. I was hesitant to shell out so much money for a brush when I already paid so much for the Furminator, but fell down the animalkingdomgrooming Insta rabbit hole and thought I'd try the deshed brush. And I'm SO GLAD I DID. I think the furminator is good for a few uses, then maybe the teeth get dull(?) and I end up having to brush harder and harder until my dogs are squirming and growling (the black one) and curling into himself (the brown one), and it takes forever to see less and less results, and my arm wants to fall off. This brush is absolutely worth the money. Yes, the teeth seem a little sharp (I tried it on my arm first), so I was super gentle and used almost no pressure, but my dogs loved it (they stood stock still the whole time and seemed disappointed when I stopped), and even let me brush their front legs too, which normally they hate. And after only five minutes, this is the amount of hair that flew off. Amazing! I just wish I could go back six years and have bought this from the start. Highly recommend! Update almost 100 uses in: STILL LOVE this brush. It has revolutionized coat-blowing season and made it painless (for me), cleaner (for my house), and so much more comfortable (for them) because I can actually keep up with the shedding. Now they're constantly soft and shiny like they just had baths as I'm regularly brushing out dirt & dead undercoat in under 2 min. Thank you, Refuresh for inventing this brush! Read more

Honestly was skeptical and wanted to pass on it based solely on price, all I can say is this is THE BEST brush I have had for my dog, ever... She's a Husky Pitbull mix, and has some slightly longer neck hair. Someone mentioned this, and the only reason for a star deduction is it can be overdone, specifically in longer hair areas. This is a short hair brush so its self explanatory why it didn't have any adverse effect on the shorter areas. Super easy to dispense hair off and clean, easy size and comfortable when holding and using. Works absolutely phenomenally, 4/5 definitely spend the money! Read more
Meagan from Spoiled Rawtten Pets recommended this brush. I already have every style of brush you could imagine, including a furminator and a comb made by the Charleston Cat Groomer, so the last thing I wanted to do was spend money on yet another when I have a dozen at home, but I needed something to help my boy stop puking hairballs. But let me tell you - THIS BRUSH IS AMAZING!! Our 16 year old DSH Maine Coon mix, who runs from being brushed, let me brush him for a solid 10 minutes. I got purrs, biscuits, head hoops, a back flop and a belly up. But I also got nearly a baseball amount of hair lightly compressed out of him. Our dogs also liked it and one fell asleep while I was brushing her. Cheers to you Refuresh!! And thank you!! Read more
I vehemently disagree with reviews I read that claimed this does not damage the hair like a competitor brush does. This one absolutely does damage to the guard hairs and pulls at attached hair - my dog HATES this thing. She is older, black, and doesn't turn loose of hair like she did in her younger days. She also still loves to run and play in the Texas sun and all of that excess coat means she is at risk for overheating. While it's at the expense of the integrity of her coat, this brush DOES do the job in removing a lot of the extra hair so she doesn't overheat quite so easily. I wouldn't get within 10' of my younger show coated dogs with this thing, but it does have a use with my older dog. Read more
