Simple and effective design. I like the narrower shape at the top compared to other designs with a wider "Y" shape. The floss holds 75+% of the time if applying to the holder as directed, but it does occasionally slip if you didn't perfectly loop it, didn't leave enough starting slack, and have tight contact points. As someone with some really tight contact between some of my teeth, I was impressed how such a simple design actually stays pretty put, and it slipped less with more diligent attention to detail while threading the floss on. It's held up for years of use, is affordable, is easy to clean, and I would recommend. Read more
Does not hold the floss at all. Not sure how the other reviewers who say it does do it because tight teeth or not (which I don’t have) the floss pops right out of the little grooves with the first tooth. The grooves need to be much deeper, maybe hooked, if they were actually going to work. Very disappointed in this purchase and do NOT recommend. Read more
While the idea of a no waste flosser is great, this one is quite a bit big and I couldn't get the floss to stay on the flosser! It also takes a long time to set up and I often found myself thinking it would just be easier to use my hands. Read more
For most of my life I have completely ignored my dentist's urgings to floss my teeth. After about 50 years, I finally started listening, and when I did, the floss seemed to disappear at an alarming rate! I was very hopeful that this YaPoola NO-Waste Dental Floss Handle would do what it said it would -- help me not use as much dental floss. Unfortunately, all the floss I've used on it seems to struggle to stay tightly wound. It will either stretch too much, or simply will require so much winding that I'm really not saving any floss. I have stopped using this floss handle, hoping that one day I will find a floss that can stay wound and not stretch. So far, I haven't found that floss. Read more
This is a great little tool to help us (particularly my children) to floss. They enjoy using it to more easily reach between their teeth, which motivates them to floss more frequently. I like that it’s pretty easy to use (be sure to wrap the floss as tightly as possible - I wrap it for my children), and alleviates throwing away all the little plastic floss picks (which they prefer than just wrapping floss in fingers, though we dont use them since it’s so wasteful for the environment), and we actually end up using less floss. Love it. First time using it and I only rewrapped the floss once. I was specifically looking for a narrow reusable flosser, and this one delivers. I tried a more advertised version before, but it was wider and bulky. This one actually lets you maneuver comfortably between each tooth. Another huge win for me: when I floss by hand, the string cuts into my nails and they end up peeling or breaking the next day. This wand completely spares my nails. Tip if wrapping the floss is your concern: keep trying—it works. Use a longer piece of floss and wrap more times in opposite directions with the left and right sides so the strings pull against each other if they try to come loose. Once you do that, it holds really well. Totally worth it - saving the earth from more single use plastic without sacrificing functionality! Read more
This was a nice tool to help with flossing, especially with a smaller jaw. This tool took a little trial and error to get it to work with my flat floss. It did work after a little more tension and made it easier to floss without strangling my fingers. Read more
