I bought one of these to replace an older ceiling light. The installation went pretty smoothly, but it was a challenge to get the two screws holding the fixture to the electrical box. The problem is that these screws pass through a piece of fiberglass insulation that makes it difficult to line things up. Still, it only took about 15 minutes to install. The fixture is fairly inexpensive, and I liked the results so much that I bought a second one. Unfortunately, the second one was delivered without a couple of key pieces of hardware, including the finial. There was an 800 number to call, but eventually I had to go through the manufacturer's website to get someone involved with my problem. In the end, the missing parts were replaced, but it took over 2 weeks to get the parts. I would buy this fixture again, but if any parts were missing, I would return it immediately. It takes Amazon only 2 days to deliver me another fixture vs. 2 weeks for missing pieces. Read more

Really good light fixture. I was impressed by the quality for the price. Now, Diy'ers, save yourself some time. Read the instructions first, (not like I did), you are going to need to use the mounting plate. The wire nuts that come with it, just toss them, you will need a couple of 14 gauge wire nuts.
