This is an excellent lamp, quite versatile, with more utility and beauty than its size suggests. The only thing I would criticize (but which doesn't detract from its value) is that the base is very lightweight and it can easily tip over in the direction it's leaning. It probably says it does this already and I just didnt read/see it but! There's a little button to the left of the main toggle and it turns on the tiniest little night light. It was such a surprise to me and I love it! It creates a tiny little glow that is actually a very nice feature. It can be kind of comforting (what was that noise) or functional (nighttime bathroom trip) at night without scalding your eyes at 2am. Instructions were good. Knobs and buttons were easy to understand. There were even some features I didn't anticipate that worked out well for me. I use this light on my nightstand, and reflect light off the wall to keep it pleasant. I also use a white noise generator that works well for me, but is very touch sensitive, so groping for it upon waking had some odd results; changing noises, volume, etc. The lamp has a tiny night LED that's easy to find and energize in the dark, and it lights up my white noise machine perfectly. I can easily scroll through light 'colors' and intensities, and got it just the way I want it. And, it remembers the light setting, so its a one and done selection process. It has a hefty base, maybe a little bigger than I anticipated, but this light will not tip over unless you really whack it. Read more
