After nearly exactly 6 months this light flashed, made a strange noise and died never to work again. I'm always a little nervous buying cheap lighting on Amazon but this one was a bit more expensive so I decided to give it a shot. Right from the start it was dim, barely bright enough to read by even at the max setting. I held onto it though and now it's completely dead and I can replace wit with something better. This is a very nice desk lamp. What is particularly helpful is the overall height of the lamp. Sturdy, good looking, nice controls. The only nit is that it would be helpful if the arm could rotate where it sets into the base. Read more
