My almost-13-year-old son gets sick every “spring” like clockwork as soon as his baseball team clears off the indoor turf and braves the frosty Michigan ballfields. Despite him hating to wear a coat/hat/gloves during winter, he loves when I’ve him new thermal sets the past 2 seasons. Last year I got another brand, but the previous year we got Devoropa. I went back to Devoropa this year again because they preform better and don’t rip. I was pleased to see a set on Amazon this season instead of having to buy the pieces separately. I did size up one size due to the “compression” claim, and they fit nicely. Noah is usually a boys Large or 14/16 and I got this set in a XL. I’ll order him a size Large before games start so it fits snug with compression against his skin. The XL is fine, but he couldn’t wear the pants with his tight “knicker” baseball pants without looking bulky, and the top bunched at his elbows and armpits. The inside of this set isn’t super fleece-y. I was scared it would be so thick that he would sweat, but it was more of a brushed fabric than fuzzy. It washed well in the washer and I hung to dry, like I do all athletic clothes. He had no problem at the coldest practice so far….only 26°! These are definitely necessary for athletes in nasty weather and the price can’t be beat! Read more

This was purchased for my daughter, but I had gotten a bigger size, as she always seems to be a little too big for close I buy her. (Now, I always size up). This is an extra large and somehow the shirt fits me. I usually am in an adult XL. Yes, it is crazy tight, but i am wearing it, and it is not really restrictive. It is that stretchy. It has a nice, soft, inside feel. It is not that usual cold or rough inside material, with all the glamour on the outside, like most other items. It is keeping me warmer today. The pants are made the same way, with the cozy inside lining. They have a great waistband on them, like an underpants. That is a wonderful feature and helps them to stay in place much better. I got this set for my nephew, and he loves it. He likes to go hunting with his dad and grandpa, and needed a good warm base layer. These wear very comfortably. They fit him true to size. They are warm as well as breathable. The quality is very good. Even seams and no loose stitching. They've gotten a lot of snow in the past week, and this set saw a lot of use while he was playing outside. The navy is a good color, and he prefers it to black. This one impressed me. I got this for my daughter to wear as a base layer when we go out to play in the snow. It's perfect for that. There's a nice soft fleece lining inside that does a great job keeping you warm and feels comfortable despite the tight stretchy fit. We've spent a handful of snow days out, running around playing sledding. All that good stuff and these are holding up great, great and pressed with the durability and quality.
