My opion is this is a great lotion because IT DOES STAIN IMMEDIATELY. That said, I apply the product in the bathroom at the salon where I tan becuase if I dont wash my hands right away and wash twice, the likelihood of my hands staining pretty dark is near 100% The color seems to have maybe a violet base where many lotions I've used tend to have a reddish-wannabe-orangy-browish tint. This one is definitely not leaving me orange no matter how often I use it. With regard to how often I use it, I apply some lotion every time I tan. I dont have to use this one every time though because the immediate color lasts and compliments my bed tan by extending the color, even when I go home and shower afterward. I like to use this lotion after shower in place of plain body lotion, again, because of the instant upgrade in color of my skin. The lotion blends with my Swinton well and dries into my skin leaving it feeling soft, smooth, and both looking and feeling hydrated. Unlike other self tanners that make my skin feel dry, this one actually makes my skin feel soft and not hydrated definitely not greasy. Ill order this one again because of the ultra dark instant color that lasts. Buyer do truly beware: wash your hands right away or prepare to have a little darker skintone on your palms. At a minimum, at least wipe the spaces between your difficult gets really well if you do nothing else to remove the product before tanning, then do wash right after your session to minimize color left on your hands. This is a great tanning bed lotion. When first using, it did turn my palms colors but after a few uses my hands were used to it and I got dark real fast. Like 3 tanning bed sessions only. My palms did keep a tint for a few days of washes but only at first. Quick results. Read more
Not thin like Ed Hardys Upgrade to Black. I really love this lotion! It moisturizes good. It smells good, does NOT leave that "smell" after tanning or the skin dry and tight feeling. Also it is pretty dark and I ❤️ that! So this is my new tanning lotion and i have literally tried a bunch of the top reviwed ones but I really love it and I'm happy I tried it! Read more

4 stars because it did stain your hands. I wipe mine off as soon as I put the lotion on and wash them after I tan. The lotion is super thick and is dark going on. Does not leave the after tan smell on you. Read more
When I tell you this is the absolute best lotion I have ever used!!! I'm soooo dark only after 2 sessions and normally I can't ever get my legs dark to match the rest of my body and I had no problem with this! I have used so many different DHA bronzer lotions to get that deep tan and I will be sticking with this one 100%. Yes it will stain if you don't wash your hands but I use one of those self-tanning applicator mitts and I have no problem rubbing in evenly or getting on my hands I would just suggest using one of those. The lotion is very thick as well so using the mitt to rub it in helps. Read more
I’m giving this tanning lotion three stars because it does leave you streaky if you’re not careful and it it has a smell to it that I’m not very fond of other than that. It works pretty good. It does get you tan. I’m just not very fond of the smell or the streaks that I get sometimes. Read more
