I've always got random bolts, spacers, washers, latches, bits and on and on that I need a place to store because a chaotic "junk drawer/box" has proven not to work for me, and they are things that can and likely will be useful at some point so I don't want to throw them away. Enter the DeWalt organizer! I have some cheap, flimsy plastic storage boxes that are ok but NOTHING like these and not at all as secure. For a DeWalt product (which I am slowly transitioning to in a lot of my tools) I was pleasantly surprised at the price of these storage boxes, I believe on sale for under $6 when I bought them. They are very durable, good size compartments-which are easily adjustable in size with the moveable stiff partitions, easy see through top that locks VERY securely, and I'm really diggin' the DeWalt interlocking system. I've got some DeWalt drill bit and impact bit sets (locked together), sockets and 2 of these organizers and love the option that I can lock them all together if I want/need to even when they are not the same size! I'm also trying to get my stuff more organized and these boxes and this system are becoming game changers for me. Price better than in-store anywhere. Will connect to Craftsman versa boxes. Hold great amount of fastners. Also great for organizing legos,model railroad scenery. This would be great setup for transporting to trade shows and is watertite. Read more
This DEWALT tool box organizer is well-built and the compartments are useful for sorting small items. The tough case is durable and the latches work smoothly. Good size for most hand tools and accessories. I wish the dividers were a bit more adjustable for customizing the layout. Overall a solid organizer for the price and the DEWALT quality is evident. Firstly, the description needs to mention the size. The storage box is 9" tall x 7" wide x 1-1/2" thick. The problem I was trying to solve was to find something to hold my Milwaukee drill and driver bits. I've been using the case they came in, and it's a real pain. The bits are in so tight that I have to use plyers to get them out, and there's no space for anything additional. T This case solves both problems and provided a couple of unexpected benefits: • While the bits aren't in individual slots, they are easy enough to spot and MUCH easier to get. And, there's plenty of space for more accessories, including ones that would have been too large for the original case. • Opening the hinged lid provides a convenient tray to put small parts while I'm working on something. • This case seems pretty tough. I wouldn't drive over it with my can, but I can stand on it without it breaking. • Finally, I keep this in my tool bag, standing up. So, even though it holds more (and still has lots of room to spare), it takes up less space in my tool bag. This is a great value and I'll buy another without a second thought. Read more
