First of all let me say the good. This is one awesome shirt. It's definitely the thickest long-sleeved t-shirt I've ever owned, almost as thick as a sweatshirt. The cotton material is comfy as well as being heavy. It did not noticeably shrink after several washes, and the pocket is a nice touch for those who wear it as the outer layer (I often wear mine under another shirt). The tail is very long to help keep it tucked in, if that's your cup of tea. Overall I would say the quality and thickness of the material is the best of any of the long-sleeved tees I have ever tried. I'm leaving my review at 5 stars because I think the quality of the shirt warrants it, but a few words should be said about the size. I found that the medium fit quite big on me compared with other mediums. First, as I already mentioned, it hangs very long. This is OK if you tuck it in, but a bit too much for wearing out, at least for me. The waist area also flares a little wide on my body. Perhaps fuller bodies could fill it out and make it fit right. Secondly, the arms were actually a bit short on me despite having a long tail. Surprisingly, the shoulders were about the right width, and the neck fits well. What this means is that the shirt comes in a bit of an awkward cut: long tail, shortish sleeves, standard shoulders, and standard neck. To give shoppers a sense of my size, I'm 5'11", 160 pounds, and pretty lean. I have long arms compared with the width of my shoulders, and no belly at all. I also have a shortish torso. I generally wear a 38-40 Regular sport coat, and a 15x34 fitted dress shirt. Despite a fit that's a bit off, I still love the shirt and will probably buy again. Perhaps I will look for one size Small - Long, if they are made. I think that would be ideal for me. I fully understand that others shopping here might consider the fit perfect if they have thicker chests, a bit of a belly, and shorter arms -- so I have kept my rating 5 stars. These are great shirts at reasonable cost. Nice and heavy weight. I gave up Carhartt shirts since they outsourced them to various foreign countries and their "new" goofy size labels seem more like suggestions than actual measurements. While these shirts aren't made in the U.S. either, they are consistently sized and well made and the sleeves are actually long enough. I have removed one star for the shrinkage factor. They do shrink. My actual size is medium but I've solved the problem by ordering large and air drying outside when possible or on the lowest possible dryer setting. Read more

First off, I wish to say that this shirt is NOT 100% cotton; it is 50% polyester, which is acceptable to me, but not what was advertised, so buyer beware. Secondly, I think the “tall” sizes have a barely acceptable sleeve length. I am 6 ft (185 cm) tall, 195 lbs (87kg), and my arms are 24 inches (61cm) from armpit to wrist, and the sleeves are just right on this “Large/Tall” shirt. The hem is a little lower than I like, but not horrible, ending at the bottom of my pants’ zipper. And the fit is a little loose, which I like. All this sizing assessment was made on a new, unwashed shirt, and this shirt may shrink up a little once it’s washed. This is a decent shirt at this price and I recommend it. Read more
