After years and years of goodwilling pants that kind-of fit but-not-quite, it was time to find pants that actually fit. I was headed to a construction site, and didn't want floodwaters or a baggy waist. So I ordered these pants in 5 different sizes to see what size pants I actually am. I'm 5'7", not heavy but I've got some wide hips and squishy thighs. It's hard for me to find pants that are 1. long enough, 2. fit in the butt, and 3. don't have waist gappage In the end, I got the 29 regular. The 28 was too tight overall, and the 30 was slightly more comfortable in the thighs, but had too much gapping in the waist. 29 fits my waist just right, and is very comfortable walking and working in all day. However, squatting/kneeling/sitting down in the 29 pull ssnugly at the thighs. Not terribly so, but I don't want to be on an airplane or a road trip with these on.
