Compact and Robust. I've had this unit for 3 months and it works great. It's sturdy and and is very responsive to remote commands. Very little latency between pushing a button on the unit or the remote control and the players reaction time. I've had some players that are slow and sluggish. This unit is not that. This seems to me a piece of complete junk. It takes a LONG time to recognize the disk and to respond to very common commands like Play, Pause, and Stop. It didn't come with batteries for the remote, but even after I added my own (which thank goodness I had available and didn't have to go to a store to buy), it's obvious it heard my command but it spins a long time (routinely 15, 30, or even 60 seconds) to respond to commands. When it finally gets to playing the disk, it works OK, so it's not that the disk is unreadable. But if you pause for more than a short while, it goes into some sort of stop mode and you have go go through a sometimes-multi-minute startup phase for it to reacquaint itself with the disk and be ready for commands that each individually still take a long time. Or sometimes it spins awhile and just ends up not doing the command so you have to try again. It's completely preposterous to call this a proper product. I don't think my unit is defective. I get the sense it's just cheap parts and bad design. I would not recommend this to anyone. Read more

My DVD player arrived yesterday and tried it out immediately and I am very happy with the quality of the picture. I had to set the sound level on the DVD player at 100 so I could just worry about the TV remote adjusting volume to the level I wanted. It was very easy to set up and came with an HDMI cable so I had not complaints. They do not include 2-AAA batteries so you'll need to supply those. The small size of the DVD player is great too so it can be portable or space saving in your TV stand. So far though... I'm a happy camper! Read more
