We put in new LVP floors in our office, so we wanted to protect them from the chairs rolling around. We bought this floor protector and have been using it for a few weeks now, and overall, we are very happy with it. The floor protector came in a long box, all rolled up. When I took it out of the box, I was worried that it wouldn't lie flat, but after a few minutes of lying on the floor, it flattened right out. The protector is transparent, so it doesn't stand out much, though it is still easy to see where it is, if that makes sense. I like the way it looks, but I attached a picture so you can see for yourself (ignore my messy desk!) I suppose the most important part of a floor protector is how strong it is and how well it will protect your floor. In this case, it seems very durable, and so far it has kept the floor perfectly safe. I don't expect that to change, but if it does, I will update this review. The one downside to this floor protector is that when it is lying on the floor with nothing on top of it, it does slip around a bit. I nearly fell once while walking on it before the office was fully set up. Now, we have a filing cabinet on it and the office chair, and it seems to hold firm with no slipping, so that is good. One last positive comment. The size of this protector is excellent. I've had other floor protectors in the past that only cover the area directly where the office chair sits. Then, when you push yourself back from your desk, the chair rolls right off the protector and damages the floor. This one is not like that, I have it pushed all the way up under my desk, and it also goes back behind my chair a couple feet, so the floor is always safe. Read more

This may was the perfect size and thickness for my needs. I recently instally vinyl flooring and didn't want my desk chair to to ruin the new floors. My only gripe about this mat is that it is very SLIPPER when I exit my desk and the mat slips all over my office. Other than that, I would say this is a great product for the price. Read more
This is a pretty sturdy unit, and I did not want the one with the grips on the back to bite into the carpet, as thought maybe it would damage it. This does a good job in protecting the carpet from my desk chair. But, if I did it again I would buy the one with the grips on the bottom, as it does slide around a bit when I am moving my chair. Saw some reviews saying it slips on hardwood floor, but was hoping somehow that was not true. But alas, it indeed slips very readily when you transition from the surrounding floor to the mat. I about fell going to my desk. And no, I'm not some uncoordinated, out of shape dude. To mitigate, I have shoved it under the leg of one side of my desk, but that's really not where I want it to be. It also came with a hanging piece from a poor-quality cut job. I cut it off myself with a razor blade, but of course should not have to do that. Ugh, this has to be the worst floor mat ever. Not even worth the price being charged. It literally curls up easily, moves around and does not stay planted. Avoid this thing. I have to find another that is SOLID plastic, not thin plastic. Read more
Heavy duty 2mm thick office chair floor mat. Nothing flimsy about this one! Came rolled up and when the box was open there was a faint smell but dissipated as soon as I got it out of the box with NO lingering effects. Had absolutely no issue straightening out the curled edges. About an hour after laying it flat on the floor its was ready to use. No weighting the edges down and no hair dryer necessary.
