I have had this lamp for almost 2 years now and decided to purchase a second one. My place doesnt have overhead lighting, so I wanted something to help with that. It is bright, yet diffuses light nicely. The dimming feature is also lovely, I like the smooth transition - I leave the lamp dim at night for my cats and brighten to the max during the day. That said, I use the dial alot and its holding up strong. The color is okay, up close it can look a bit cheap because its painted and not real metal. but it still looks great especially for the price. The base is substantial, I dont find it flimsy, good construction. I have moved it a few times its light in that aspect too. Also, the paint job is good, no peeling or anything it looks new still.
