I'd prefer if the housing would mount to a standard ceiling box, but it is very light and attached to the drywall easily. Make sure to read the instructions before placing. The cover has to be done in a specific way to prevent cracking. My husband did not pay attention and cracked one. Otherwise, this is a pretty good modern look simple flush mount light. The light is bright. Install was standard. It was easy to switch out our old light for this one. Read more
