Additional tools required

Expensive and it requires other tools to actually make it.. it’s pretty sturdy and quality seems good. The presser device is sturdy and does the job but you need a high precision cutting device to cut and form the board… and high profile sander to smooth it out .. my sons like it! So 3 stars Read more

Okish

Good mold, I would recommend using a different glue and the grip tape is impossible to get off and leaves sticky residue, isn’t the best Read more

Decent for Someone Who Knows What They Are Doing

My son fingerboards and makes his own fingerboards. He has made his own molds by 3D printing them, so I wanted to get a metal mold for him. This comes with the fingerboard mold with screws, wood sheets to make the board, wheels and trucks for the boards, a board shaper, graphic sheets and glue. It also comes with instructions but my son didn't need to use them since he always knows how to do this. The mold itself is good quality. The big issue with it is that the wood provided and mold itself are really wide. You either need to cut it way down or sand for a really long time. It is far too wide for a fingerboard. The wood provided is not good quality and the glue used is not the right kind. It is just basic wood glue. My son really didn't like the graphics. He made his own. The shaper is good quality. My son was really happy with the quality of the wheels and trucks. They have good bearings and ride smoothly. This does encourage creativity- but for the price, it should be better. So it's not a great value for the money. Read more

Didnt know this is still popular

I remember when finger boards first really hit the market and everyone had to have one. I thought they were sent out to pasture like many other kids toys go but I was wrong. While not as popular as they once were there is still a pretty big group that really enjoys these. What's neat and I was they had when I was younger is that you can make your own board with this kit. It has everything you need to make a complete board. From the wood to the trucks to the wheels you can build and customize your finger board. The wood is maple which is outstanding wood for a board and every part is a quality part and not just cheap parts that you wouldn't even want to use. There is a step by step instruction book to guide you through the process as well as a video. If you have a little one that likes skateboarding of finger boards or just likes to build and make things this is a fantastic kit. The only thing I don't like and think is a little high is the pricing but then again I really don't like the price of pretty much anything these days. Read more

Wish I knew better at what I was doing

I wanted to like this since I do a lot of Rolife kits, but this was a bit different from that and requires a different sort of expertise with skateboards. You will need tools and glue for this since it is not really included. The kit looks like it would be fun but unfortunately not for me; that being said there is a lot of variety with the skates, quality parts, and the size of them is decent. Just wish I knew better at what I was doing. Read more
